Guest wingswillwincup Report post Posted November 10, 2007 ahhh man , i know its way too early but i remember back in 2005 draft i was hoping the wings would pick up this guy in the 2nd round ... and we got justin abelkader with the 42nd pick , and atlanta selected him 41st overall ! right before us , i was so pissed , abedlkader looks like he can be a nice 3rd liner but pavelec looks like he might be a nice number 1 goalie http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/players/bio/?i...amp;hubname=nhl thats his profile page ..... in 5 games hes 3-1 this season with a 932 save percentage , i was reading up on tsn and there already talking about how atlanta might trade lehtonen if he keeps playing well and if lehtonen keeps having problems with the groin injuries , my how things change quickly .......... if we could go back in time would you guys draft pavelec if we could or do you think abdelkader will be really good and rather keep him ? Honestly, at least Pavelec will get a chance for success in Atlanta. We would never give him the chance. We have Howard waiting already, and we're the kind of team that doesn't usually give a chance to young goalies anyways. It's better for Pavelec to be in Atlanta. You do realize they have another goalie named Kari Lehtonen there, right? Also, Howard will get a chance next year, he's only 24 years old he hasn't been waiting long at all. Also, Howard will get a chance next year, he's only 24 years old he hasn't been waiting long at all. lehtonen is always injured though so he might as well not even be on the team lol , if pavelec keeps putting up good numbers then they might consider trading lehtonen down the road whos been a big dissapointment since coming to the nhl , and if pavelec was in the wings organization if he was putting up good numbers where ever he was who knows maybe he would of gotten a chance ........ im still not sold on jimmy howard , i think larsson will be our future number 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
