A feud?

So Dan Boyle may want a divorce from Tampa.

Thoughts?

Would he be a good addition for the Wings this year?

Nov 18 A bit of bad blood appears to be starting to boil in Tampa Bay between Boyle and the Lightning surrounding his premature return to the ice following his first wrist surgery, reports the St. Petersburg Times.

Recommendation: Uh-oh. In a case of he said-she said, the team and Boyle appear to be several miles apart. First, we have Boyle's agent Geroge Bazos: "It is my understanding Dan was clearly told there was no further risk of injury. Dan wanted to play. He said he could deal with the pain if there was no risk. Obviously, there was a risk." Then we have Lightning general manager Jay Feaster: "What Dr. Gray [the team's orthopedic specialist who did the first surgery] recalls telling Danny is in his experience he never had one of those types of injuries at that stage of its progression that didn't heal properly." Feaster continued: "I understand the frustration on Danny's part; we're frustrated, too. But there's a difference between frustration and looking to ascribe blame. The hockey club is not looking to ascribe blame. We got it fixed, we hope, and now it's about getting Danny back playing." This needs to be fixed fast as Boyle is a free agent come June. We'll monitor this for you.
