Stan Leycup X 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2007 I had a Montreal Canadiens jersey and bought a 1993 Stanley Cup patch for it. I took it to a local sports shop to have then sew it on. When I got it back, the jersey was ruined. (This happened years ago, so I can't just go there and complain now). I don't know if it's a stitch or just the way they had it folded, but the logo crest is ... bent. The middle of the logo, right where the "H" is, is outward (think of a flag blowing in the wind). I'm just wondering if this is something I can fix with an iron - if that won't ruin the crest - or if I should look for a thread to remove... it's probably easier if someone looked at it, but I thought I'd throw it out there. I don't know exactly what you mean, but ironing the crest will melt it.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted December 5, 2007 (edited) I don't know exactly what you mean, but ironing the crest will melt it. Actually there still is a way... get a pillow case put over the crest.... then iron the pillow case. it should dispearse the heat and not melt it. I have done this plenty of times Edited December 5, 2007 by OsGOD
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted December 5, 2007 I have a Shanny jersey with the same problem. If there are any definitive solutions for this, I'd love to hear them.
datsyukonethree 0 Report post Posted December 5, 2007 Whenever the crests or numbers on my jerseys get warped, I fold them up so that those elements are flat and leave them sitting on the floor. I don't think I've ever had anything as bad as you guys are describing, but doing this has worked for me in the past. I suppose you could put a box of stuff on top if you think additional pressure would help.
