I know my game thread blows.

Better than nothing.

I'm really hoping that the boys come out flying and get Nashville on their heels.

6-1 wings

I'm assuming the Ozzie is back in nets.

Let me see... Dats has been on fire

Zetta is on fire

Bah the whole team kicks ass

Go Wings

You're GDT doesn't blow, its just that aflac has set the bar so high.

He'll be missed, but thanks for posting the GDT.

I've not been around lately, so forgive me, but where'd aflac go?

His GDTs were great.

He's still around, its just that his new job doesn't afford him time to post his GDT's.

BTW, good to see you doc. :sly: Why such a stranger lately?

Well, let's just say that I completely understand aflac's time constraints!

:lol::lol:

I'm hoping to be around a little more often after the first of the year.

Here's to a good game tonight, a Predator's win, and nary an injury to be seen.

I have a good feeling about this game, i'm expecting a good game and a chippy affair! Its a given Downey is going to go after Tootoo at some point, but my prediction is Tootoo declines and Hordichuk (if he plays) comes flying to the rescue and has a wild fight with Downey. I'd pick Hordichuk to probably win but it should be a very spirited and entertaining one. I could definitely then see Tootoo trying to pick a fight with Kopecky, (Tootoo thus drawing even more ire of the LGW faithful!) I think they end up having a go with Jordin roughing him up.

Hordichuck and Mason are both out with the flu.

The downloadable wallpaper says the games on NHL network tonight but it doesnt show up on the TV schedule...anyone know what the deal is?

NHL.com states that the game is on FSN. I swear, if I get screwed out of two Wings/Preds games in a row I'm going to be uber-pissed.

I don't believe the NHL Network can have a game since Versus has Buffalo and Boston! Oh and why doesn't the NHL Network broadcast on Center Ice anyway? Does anyone know??

NHL Preview from The Sports Network

Monday, December 10th (All times eastern)

Detroit Red Wings (21-6-2) at Nashville Predators (14-11-2), 8 p.m.

(Sports Network) - The red-hot Detroit Red Wings will aim for a seventh consecutive victory when they visit the Nashville Predators tonight in a Central Division battle at the Sommet Center.

Detroit, which leads the NHL with 44 points on the year, is in the midst of its second longest winning streak of the season. The team won nine in a row from October 18-November 9.

The Red Wings picked up their sixth straight triumph on Sunday, as they defeated the visiting Carolina Hurricanes at Joe Louis Arena. Andreas Lilja scored the go-ahead goal in the second period and Detroit continued its home dominance of Carolina with the 5-2 victory.

Pavel Datsyuk and Tomas Holmstrom scored 36 seconds apart late in the third for the Red Wings, who haven't lost in the last 14 home games to the Carolina franchise.

Valtteri Filppula and Johan Franzen scored for the Red Wings, who also got three assists from Jiri Hudler and two helpers from Nicklas Lidstrom. Dominik Hasek made 15 saves in the win.

Datsyuk extended his points streak to eight straight games. He has eight goals and seven assists during the run.

The Predators won for the third time in five games with Saturday's defeat of Anaheim. Jordin Tootoo had a goal and an assist to help Nashville down the visiting Ducks, 4-2.

Alexander Radulov, Ryan Suter and Jerred Smithson also scored for Nashville, which avoided a third straight loss. Vernon Fiddler collected two helpers, and Chris Mason finished the game with 21 saves.

The Preds, who are 8-4-1 in the Music City this year, are playing the third test of a four-game homestand tonight. They will wrap up the residency with Thursday's test against Colorado.

Detroit is 8-4-2 as the road club this year and will begin a four-game homestand after tonight's contest.

The Red Wings and Predators have split a pair of meetings this season, but Detroit has taken six of the last eight encounters overall. However, the Red Wings have dropped four of their previous six tests in Nashville.

Here's to more of this!
