IceMunkee 15 Report post Posted February 14, 2008 (edited) Starting this thread to keep track of the Sellers/Buyers as the next two weeks rolls by. By my calculations I would venture that these are the sellers for sure. Kings, Ilse's, Leafs, Panthers, Thrashers (they are not out, but Hossa is) Buyers are pretty obvious: Detroit, Stars, Quacks (low money but went at Foppa), Sharks, Flames, Preds, Lanche, Sens (already bought some), Pens (?), Habs, Devils, Flies, Caps (?), and the Sabres also heavily rumored. Bubble Boys: Bruins, Rangers, Canes (sold some), BJ's (costly loss tonight), Yotes, Blues, Oils, Hawks (could be sellers with nothing to sell) Alot can change in the next 13 days. I thought it would be cool to use this to see who is falling off and who is coming in. Let me know what ya think! By my calculations I would venture that these are the sellers for sure. Kings, Ilse's, Leafs, Panthers, Thrashers (they are not out, but Hossa is) Include Tampa Bay in that. Panthers aren't selling, they're two points out of their division lead (pathetically is a three-way tie at 60 points) Edited February 14, 2008 by MacK_Attack

I see that now. Did not even consider that... Thanks there may be a few holes in my theory! LOL
rwfan007 18 Report post Posted February 14, 2008 well, as of right now, theres 2 winners in the player aquisitions Ottawa (Stillman, Commodore) Anaheim (Neidermayer, Selanne) Hopefully the wings can keep pace with what may be a flurry of talent exchange. I just don't want to see us stand pat while the other contending teams load up for the playoffs.

I guess every dog truley has their day. Honestly, I hope they are. It seems they are really putting a team together down there. It would be great if the could make the playoff's this year. As long as they still sell Feds

I guess every dog truley has their day. By buyers I hope you mean trading Fedorov to Detroit...I have been dreaming of that since the season started...don't let it die yet. Anywho.... The Habs may be a small buyer and I don't think I saw them on the list. It is possible they will make a couple minor moves to sure up their depth and physical play. Guest GordieSid&Ted Report post Posted February 14, 2008 (edited) Let's say there's five guaranteed sellers at this point: Los Angeles Ladislav Nagy Rob Blake Brad Stuart Scott Thornton Jaroslav Modry Kyle Calder Tampa Bay Vaclav Prospal Dan Boyle Chris Gratton Andre Roy Toronto Mats Sundin Hal Gill Chad Kilger Wade Belak Nik Antropov Alex Ponikarovsky Tomas Kaberle Boyd Devereaux Darcy Tucker Chicago Martin Lapointe Yanic Perreault Andrei Zyuzin New York Islanders Miro Satan Mike Comrie Ruslan Fedotenko Trent Hunter Josef Vasicek Freddy Meyer Provided none of these players commands a first round pick or Filpulla, Kindl or Howard I give them the thumbs up Brad Stuart Scott Thornton Chris Gratton Marty Lapointe maybe Fedotenko I purposely left Blake off because he's liklely to command more than I would want to ever give up on a stinkin' rental player. VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted February 14, 2008 Brad Stuart Vaclav Prospal Dan Boyle Mats Sundin Martin Lapointe Miro Satan These guys are the ones we should look after, they're much more realistic than Hossa and the bunch, though I still threw in Sundin. Of course tehre are others, but with thousands of players in the NHL it's hard to remember each one and decide what each one is worth.
