"I dont want Lilja tonight, I want the Pain Train!"

Lilja's play the past couple games hasnt been very good. Honestly, it's been bad since the game against Ottawa. What happened in that game? He fought! It isnt as though this is crazy to believe. Last year, Lilja was the whipping boy of Wings fans all year, then against Anaheim he fights Travis Moen, and his play gets better, and no one said another bad thing about him until Game 5 of the WCF.

If Lilja isnt throwing his body around and fighting, he doesnt play as well. If only Babcock knew, he could give him the inspirational speech and Lilja would start playing well again.

Lilja's stats over the past 11 games, not that great. I know the Pain Train is capable of more.

Nice. With Rafi out of the lineup I'd like to see the Pain Train paired up with Lidstrom. That might be what it takes for Lils to get his mojo back.

Face of a champion.

I love that stance. Phaneuf must have been s***ting his pants. I don't think Tony Twist or Joey Kocur looked half as intimidating with their stance. Where did you get that photo, by the way? I was just wondering if there's more where that came from? :D

Haha! GMR - I cant possibly think of a more fitting avatar for you than this pic of Lilja.

It's a little too big, unfortunately, so I'll stick with my picture of Marilyn. It'd be nice to put it into a signature, though, so I might just request it on the other forum.

Quality photo supplied from Google. I was disappointed when there werent any photos of his epic battle with Moen.

Thanks, but I refuse to talk about that fight, because Lilja slipped before he could get going on Moen. I still think it's fair to call it a draw, though. :D. All of Lilja's other fights were wins in my book.

Thanks puckloo. I'll keep Marilyn for my avatar for a while, but be on the lookout for that "PAIN TRAIN" picture for when we play the Ducks in the playoffs. :D

you're welcome! You can toss Lils in there for some added mojo sometime... Marilyn won't mind, she was a cool lady!

Finally!!! A thread that's praising Andreas, not bashing him. I think he's a great defenceman. Kind of a sleeper hit. I think that if him and Nick were paired while Raffy is out it could improve him a bit. He's already logging an S-word load of minutes.

We must share the same book. :hehe:

LOL at the lady in the white jacket too. Looks like she is hollering for Phaneuf's blood.

Lilja does seem to kick up his defensive play a knotch when he is using his physical game and regualting. Hopefully the Pain Train is due to arrive in the station today with a fresh shipment of PAIN.

OK - so all within one week I've read "Lidstrom-like plays", and 'Joey Kocur didn't look half as intimidating'.

You guys - we really really need to pull this Lilja thing back in. This is approaching embarrassing.

Hey, where it does it say we can't have some fun? Besides, Canucks fans glorified that no-talent Rory last year before the all-star game, so we're entitled to have our own working class hero. It just so happens that our hero has tattoos on both arms, and kicks ass whenever he drops the gloves.
