Any chance of Mac playing tonight?

Yeah that's what I wanna know....I really hope so. I've been looking forward to this for quite some time. I'm sick of the delays. lol

Red Wings 5(Flipper, Franzen, Zetterberg, Lidstrom, Datsyuk)

great job on your very first GDT! May it bring them luck tonight!!

Still lots of injuries to go around for both. Let's see if the secondary scoring shows up or those other guys do -- either way, somebody better show up with some offense.

And no going nightie-night in the third again, please, gentlemen?

Go, Wings!!

Daily Dom

I am not seeing who is in net for the Wings anywhere yet, E. But I found the article above in detnews.com.

Lalime is in net for the ninth game in ten consecutive outings for the Hawks.

Want to see something interesting, stat-wise?

Hasek: GP 34/MIN 2,008/GAA 2.09/22-8-3/SO 4/GA 70

Ozzie: GP 35/MIN 1,969/GAA 2.10/23-8-3/SO 4/GA 69

 We're in good hands, with either goalie. But I know Ozzie's your favorite, so I hope he gets to play for you tonight.

I definitly do not want to start another goalie debate but I would rather see Dom go everynight. Our games are pretty well spaced and we need him primed for the playoff's. I love Ozzy and he has had a spactacular season but it is time to assume the natural back up position and let Dom take the starts. Next year Oz will likely be the starter, now Dom for playoff victory.

From what I can gather, the Wings management evidently agrees with you.

That said, there are back-2-backs this weekend and next week, both with travel involved, home and away in both sets of games. I would expect to see Ozzie play a game in one or both of those situations. But who knows?

Wings 6

Hawkies 2

I don't guess all of the scorers I'm just predicting Datsyuk hits 1-2, Lidstrom hits one and a couple of assists for hopefully 1st star and Hudler picks up another point.

Goaltending is solid.

According to the Detroit News, Chelios will be back in the lineup tonight. Lebda will sit.

Detroit has had trouble against the central this year, but Chicago is too depleted, against a Wings squad that is starting to get healthy again.

Detroit 4 (Zetterberg 2, Franzen, Filpulla)

Chicago 2 (Kane, Sharp)

Cool.

Anything official that says Mac won't play tonight? I've been looking forward to this.

I didn't see anything. It did say Homer will likely be out though.
