TooToo whistle

I was just wondering if their is a story behind the fans in Nashville blowing the Too Too!!! train whistle every time he is on the ice. It was annoying as crap and just plain stupid. I bet even Jordin finds it annoying.

Its got to bad when the annoucers bring it up during the broadcast, Mike and Ken mentioned it last night but don't usually mention stuff going on in the stands like that. I hope we take back the series next game so we don't have to return to Nashville and listen to that annoying sound the entire game again.

Go Wings

in a way its sort of a good thing. by hearing that annoying whistle everytime that moron is on the ice our skill players know when they need to watch their backs a little bit more.

It lets me know when he's on the ice so I can watch for him trying to run somebody from behind or hit them in the back of the head...the usual honorable stuff you can expect from such a fine caliber of player, ya know, 'cause now that he's scored 2 goals he's not a grimy little scumbag anymore according to some people around here.

Hey man i have seen nothing so far this series out side of his scoring.. he has stayed in-line and played hockey. Not saying he isn't a prick... but right now that is not how he is hurting us. I think we are too focused on his physical play (which he isn't even focusing on) and letting him get away on the score sheet.

how about "i like it, i love it, i want some moooore of it" when they score goals?

i'm sorry but that has to be the most feminine goal song in the history of sports.

and if i see one more guy with a hat like smalls from the sandlot, i may take my own life...

Arnott seemed to want some more off it! actually relatively quickly.

Maybe the wings should follow the philosphy... Score quick and often. Never give up! Never Surrender!

The whistles I can deal with but I can't stand that ridiculous thing they do whenever they get a PP.

I'm right there with you, I went down there for a game... and dear god did that get annoying as hell. "Fang Fingers" as they called them was just flipping retarded...

But then again, you have to keep things basic down there.

I can't stand the PA announcer. He sounds like he belongs in the booth at a strip club.

That stuff works in the NBA, but I just don't find it necessary in hockey.

"Coming up next on the main stage....Caaaandi!!!"

"Predators gooooooal scored by...."

They play it because they call Tootoo ChewChew

At least thats what Ken and Micky said last night

If he is indeed "ChewChew" then they should celebrate by taking a huge bite of food and chewing. Quietly. :P

And the song has the right concept, i.e. want more goals, but it does seem like an odd choice for a hockey celebratory occasion. Oh well, probably just putting some local flavor into it. Would Detroit teams play Kid Rock so much if he wasn't local?

I also wonder what they chant after a goal... They startw with it shortly before the goal song is over. I try to find out what it is since our first playoff series against them 4 years ago lol. Can anyone help?

There isn't anything that annoys me more than their goal song. I hated it on Monday Night Football this year, and I can't stand it when the Preds score because the song flat out sucks.

The toosie whistle is pathetic and annoying--a whistle to let the whole arena know that your third line checker is on the ice?---oookayy.

In regards to the song, just because it is a country song and they are in Nashville doesn't mean that it is right to play this song. Way to keep the arena pumped up after scoring a goal by playing a fast, exciting song...oh wait.

BTW:Can it please be tomorrow night already, so I can get this awful taste out of my mouth from last night

Actually they just resort to scoring again before the other goal is announced.... works like a charm... crowd just gets lit up.
