jpfalcon09 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2008 Gonna be two great games tonight. NHL is a buzz on national radio, the sport that was once dead is suddenly seeing it's revival.
Ontario Wingsfan 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2008 (edited) Go Sharks, Go Caps. I originally picked Philly and Calgary but after seeing the possible next round matchups, it's hard to go past a Crosby vs Ovechkin series along with an Original 6 Habs-Rags series. Add that to the Wings-Avs series should SJ win and it'll be a great 2nd round. Edited April 22, 2008 by Ontario Wingsfan
Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 22, 2008 I've been in the whole way, no way I'm backing out now I'm officially neutral in the Sharks-Flamers game now that the Wings won't have to go through both the Sharks and the Ducks again. But Go Caps Go! Viperar--have a blast!

SuperCalaFilppulastic! 34 Report post Posted April 22, 2008 This is a great night for hockey. I'm torn between SJ and Calgary. I want SJ out, just so that both the highly touted Sharks and Ducks flop big time. I really dislike Calgary though and I don't think I want to play them next round. Washington is an easy pick. I like Ovie and I picked them to advance in my pool. I forgot about the whole LNC thing. I have been so busy the past few months.
Louisville 112 Report post Posted April 22, 2008 (edited) Too bad I have the biggest exam of the semester tomorrow morning. I'll have the games on in the background of my slow, torturous, accounting death. Go Sharks ( I just puked in my mouth a little) Go Caps Edited April 22, 2008 by Louisville

Vansmack-CP 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2008 the big question of the night: will the sharks choke in a big way? Is any loss considered a choke? or only if they don't show up at all
akustyk 84 Report post Posted April 22, 2008 Is any loss considered a choke? or only if they don't show up at all with the skill package Sharks have and the number of years since they're touted to go for big prize - a first round loss, nevermind the circumstances, will be a choke. Sharks were supposed (at least from media perspective) to rip it off since 2004 if my memory serves well. they managed to suck year after another but it doesn't prevent NBC, TSN, CBC, etc. guys to pick them to win the cup. same goes to many hockey fans. so yes, any loss here is a choke. choke that many people can foresee, because it's Sharks in the end and this species doesn't fall far from Blues or Sens. but there's a number of ppl who called Sharks cup winners even before playoffs started and expected them to fend off Flames in 5-6 games. instead it looks like Flames are perfectly able to win it here. a team severely lacking scoring depth behind Iginla and Huselius and which defense, at least on paper is well behind what San Jose brings on the ice... NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted April 22, 2008 Personally, I'd like to see Washington move on, and I'm still indifferent about the SJ/CAL series. I wouldn't mind either and I don't want either at the same time. I guess I'd rather see SJ simply because the hockey world deserves another Wings/Avalanche series. I wouldn't mind either and I don't want either at the same time. I guess I'd rather see SJ simply because the hockey world deserves another Wings/Avalanche series. I'd also like Caps. they haven't been that good in this series as I hoped they'll be but basically every team gets my support if it beats Flyers. I think I'd even root for Ducks if they faced Philly. yes, I'm negative guy here as for SJ/Calgary... I'd rather see Sharks win. they seemed weak enough mentally to loose it in second round anyway, and I'd rather play Dives than Flames with confidence boosted right after beating highly touted Sharks. they already scare a lot of me and with extra mental edge they could as well be able to send Wings golfing in just a week
