zettsyukwall415 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 Patrick Kane (Chicago) Jonathan Toews (Chicago) Nicklas Backstrom (Washington) I'm thinking Kane's going to take this, although it would have been nice to see what Toews would have done if he stayed healthy. Opie 308 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 I think it is Backstrom, but he will be penalized for playing with AO! Toews and Kane had great years but I think Backstrom was the most impactful (is that a word) rookie. But the only one of these awards I am every right at is the norris, but that is because I always say Lids!!!!
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 With those nominees, its Kanes without a doubt. I prefer Toews to Kane cause I think hes the more complete player, but he had the injury and his point totals arent as high as they couldve been. With Backstrom, playing alongside AO will count against him. And given that all three are forwards, it looks like the voters pretty much chalked it up to offense. Kane got the most votes IMO. BlackhawksFan 4 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 Being as unbiased as I possibly can, I'll bet a Hawk won. And I think it's probably Kane.
Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted April 23, 2008 Backstrom is the best player of the three. But Calder will go to Kane though.
