Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Theo was overrated because he played a s*** team. Now that he's playing a real offensive team he is getting ripped open.
RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Tyler Weiman was the Colorado goalie that suited up as a result of Theodore leaving. I didnt know that you can suit up a 3rd goalie. I thought once your game roster is set, its set
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 News out of the Joe he was physically ill... possible food poisoning... not 100% sure
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 I think that Budaj's great play in this game was a fluke. It's not a mirror of the Osgood situation. In most cases, a switch in goalies always ends up with the backup stopping all (or most of) the shots against him. I don't know why, it's just one of those mystical hockey things. The Wings have never had a problem with Budaj or Theodore, and I don't expect them to start having a problem now. In Game 2 they won't have a goalie entering in mid-game to rally around. They'll come out strong, but so will the Wings, and it'll be another close game, probably with the Wings winning...I hope.
RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 More importantly will Lilja still be playing? Not if Stuart is ready to go in game 2 imo

HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Stuart will play in Game 2. He'll be practicing with the fellas tomorrow. As for who's gonna be in net for the Avs, I read that Quenville said it was more than likely Theo.

jpfalcon09 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Weiman's listed on the official Avs roster. The Wings can do the same with Howard if they so choose. Not uncommon to see that, especially since injuries can occur.
4four4 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 The Redwings do not want to face Theo if he plays like he did against the Wild. Especially game five he doesn't stand on his head the Wings would be playing the Stars. He was awesome.
Duck Guy 86 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 wouldn't be suprised if they start theo again. But i think Budaj would be better.. if i remember Budaj was really sharp when he played against the wings during the reg season.
puertoricanWingsfan 5 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 ehhh... I think I'd rather face Theo. He's a hell of a goalie, but being pulled in Game 1 may have him in a bad spot mentally. If he's off mentally, he'll let in some softies.
jpfalcon09 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 Theo will play so long as he isn't sick. Quenneville isn't gonna bench the guy who got them to the 2nd Round unless he has good reason to. Budaj played well, although he wasn't tested nearly as much. Budaj played well against the Wings this year during the season too, so I don't really it should matter who plays. Shaman 713 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 The Redwings do not want to face Theo if he plays like he did against the Wild. Especially game five he doesn't stand on his head the Wings would be playing the Stars. He was awesome. No offense but, the wings and the wild are 2 different animals... 2 different games styles and Theo has never been able to adjust to the wings style... gcom007 1,465 Report post Posted April 25, 2008 If he's healthy, it's Theo, no doubt about it. Similarities do not automatically equate to correlations.
