Pletzke26 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 For round 4 of the stanley cup playoffs my predictions are Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit red wings. what does everyone else think?
marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 I'm thinkin Wings vs Rags. I just think the Rags have too many proven playoff players to not get out of the East. I don't think the Pens have a good enough defence yet, the Habs aren't gritty enough, and the Flyers, well, I don't even need to explain myself there. Gordie Howe hat trick 110 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 The other guy who is studying in Germany with me is a huge Pen fan, I told him that if it came down to it we could watch the games at my place because my internet is better. But I also told him that we couldn't be friends for the whole series.
Cicada 4 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 i'm 90% sure it's going to be Pittsburgh out of the east.. they get all the calls

GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 The league needs the Wings in the finals, no matter which team comes out of the East. The easiest matchup for us would be Montreal, but I doubt they'll be the team to make it out.
Shaman 713 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 i would love to see the pens, Crosby vs Lids, the best forward vs the best Dman, great for everyone
Echolalia 2,961 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 If the Wings get to the finals, no matter who they verse it will be really exciting Wings vs Flyers: rematch of the 97 year Wings vs Habs or Rags: Original 6 finals matchup Wings vs Pens: the media will s*** bricks

miller76 463 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 My opinion is: Red Wings vs Penguins. But I don't believe there is a team in the league that can handle the Wings in a series. We have had the talent, but now we have chemistry as well. The East is soft, it has been for the past couple of seasons.
Vladimir316 28 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 I hope Wings vs Rags, nice to have a original 6 Stanley Cup final.
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 I'm excited to see Montreal or the Rangers make. If the Wings make it, those matchups would be awesome. I don't think Pittsburg has what it takes, neither does Philly. Montreal or the Rangers have the best chances in the East. I think I'd have to quit work so I won't miss anymore games if the Wings play any one of them. Probably the only time I'll see that matchup in my lifetime. Those are also the best matchups for the NHL's stature.
SweWings 45 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Out of the East it'll likely be Pittsburgh or New York. Don't really see how either Montreal or Philly can beat them. And either of those would make for a fun final vs Detroit.
HadThomasVokounOnFortSt 878 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Wings, Stars, Canadiens, Penguins. Wings over Stars. Canadiens over Penguins. Wings over Canadiens for the CUP!
Doggy 130 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 I really can't see the Habs in the Finals. They're just too s***e.
Cern 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Well, Bettman calls for a sunshine team vs. a canadian team. So it'll be SJ/Dallas vs. Montreal this year.
TrueBlueblood 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 I really can't see the Habs in the Finals. They're just too s***e. Price didn't look too good in game 2.

Doggy 130 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Price didn't look too good in game 2. Clearly they need him to perform. IMO he's the main reason they got past Boston. He was really ******* good with the exception of one game.
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Well, Bettman calls for a sunshine team vs. a canadian team. So it'll be SJ/Dallas vs. Montreal this year. My God that would suck. Can't we have a good matchup just ONE time in the last 10 years? I think I'd just about die to see the Wings play the Rangers or Montreal. I'm not a fan of Pittsburgh but they could be fun to watch. But let's just hope the Wings get that far. We're only up 2 games. It could very well be a long series.
Barrie 900 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 At the beginning of the playoffs I said Wings-Rangers. I'm sticking with those until one or both are eliminated.
Barrie 900 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 I don't think Montreal gets by Philly, Price is like a rollercoaster. Can't blame him though, it's his rookie season.
