marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 Whoa.. FSN Detroits last game!? We have to start listenng to Pierre McGuire? UGH. Us in Canada had to put up with him the entire playoffs. But oh well, once the first round ended he has stopped being biased against us. He has become very tolerable.
Never_Retire_Steve 35 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 Bad period for the Wings... both Forsberg and Theodore are still in the game
Jedi 1,865 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 Good job boys. Gave up a goal, but responded again. Glad to have the lead still, and glad to see the Wings keep the game on their terms.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 jskdjgs that was INTENSE at the end there. Great to have a two goal lead though. Drapes and Kronner.
Rivalred 630 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 I am wondering what ref's are going to be cut for round 3....
SliderJeff 11 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 no call on the hook on Datsyuk Did you not get the memo? Avs "hook" = Good defensive play Wings "hook" = Same call that's been made ever since the lockout. You'd think these morons would learn by now. * see also the definitions for "boarding" and "obstruction"
CanadaBoy 151 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 Let's kick out Theo with a quick goal in the third
kylee 727 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 the Wings are countering EVERYTHING the Avs are throwing at them. i was a bit anxious when the Avs scored first, but i somewhat expected to see that, and the Wings have been playing absolutely fantastic all night long. full 60 minutes fellas and we'll have the deathgrip on this series. Nero 20 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 (edited) I don't want to see any Colorado fans crying about the referees after this game. You don't high-stick Zetterberg and get away with it. Anyways, let's play a full 20 minutes in the 3rd, keep Colorado out of the game, and increase our tally. Let's go Red Wings! Heinrich 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 It's 5:38am here in Svk..but I definitely don't regret watching this game. Watching 1st line and the Mule is just awsome !!!
91to-the-rafters 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 They must have felt too bad about pulling Jose for a third straight game. They've got to give serious consideration to playing the backup in game 4 if they lose tonight.
savaking72 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 Forsberg has no balls I always thought his ****** was hurting...that's why he has been out all this time.
Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted April 30, 2008 anyone wanna do some quick math and figure out what Jose's GAA is in this series? well... I think he's had 4 against each game.... which makes a 4.0GAA
MidMichSteve 1,115 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 So yeah... I don't post often, but i have to here. When the playoffs started, I was busy every evening and I missed the first 2 games of the first round. We won both games. Then, unbusy, i was able to watch games 3 and 4 of the first round - both of which we lost and one of those we were winning until i turned on the game to catch the end of the 3rd period... I have not watched a game since and we've won them all... and now this one. So i "watch" the game via the game day thread... Thanks everyone for giving me updates faster than NHL ever could... I'll keep "watching" here too... Oh, i do record the games and watch them later... so its not ALL lost... That's quite the sacrifice. I couldn't do it. Thanks
FinRedWing 172 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 (edited) Foote highsticks Zata, no call. I'm sure this can be found in the rulebook. A "high stick" is one which is carried above the height of the opponent's shoulders. A player is permitted accidental contact on an opponent if the act is committed as a normal windup or follow through of a shooting motion. Note: In the case of Foote highsticking Zetterberg - no call. Edited April 30, 2008 by FinRedWing
VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 No sitting back! I think though that the Wings learned their lesson after Game 1. Full 60 minutes!
Firehawk 305 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 I can't believe the wings are up by 2 in a game 3 where the avs are down 2-0 in the series. I am surprised, honestly. I am very pleased with the wings this series. They have been very consistent all through the last 5 games now, outworking their opponent.
seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 Haha, Kronwall is soooo humble. Gotta love how most hockey players are like that.
BeeRYCE 2 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 It's 5:38am here in Svk..but I definitely don't regret watching this game. Watching 1st line and the Mule is just awsome !!! Ouch... So basically if you want to watch a Wings game, you have to usually wait for 1 or 1:30? Yikes.
Guest drwings1 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 wow statsny is out, cant believe whats happening to the avs. seems like they caught the bug that plagued us last year
Systemfel 33 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 (edited) well... I think he's had 4 against each game.... which makes a 4.0GAABut if a goalie plays, say, 30 minutes in a game and lets in 4 goals, his GAA would be 8.00. So Theodore's GAA is definitely over 4. seeinred 1,488 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 It's 5:38am here in Svk..but I definitely don't regret watching this game. Watching 1st line and the Mule is just awsome !!! Nice dedication well... I think he's had 4 against each game.... which makes a 4.0GAA No it's not. It's goals against/minutes played x 60. If he had played 4 completely full games, then 4 would be his GAA.
