Winther 6 Report post Posted May 9, 2008 Came across an article in Aftonbladet, he says he is determined to compete for the backup job with Jimmy Howard next season. He also says that he will stay in america even if he has to play in the minors. He sees the progress of Erik Ersberg and thinks he should have an equal chance to make it to the big club (which i think he has, he's a better goalie with more potential than ersberg, for sure.) TenaciousDetroit 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2008 I can see Jimmy Howard being a solid backup next year and will play maybe 15-20 games to give osgood a rest when needed. I think that Howard is a solid hoss cat of a goalie but Larsson does seem to be equally good.
