GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 What's stopping the referees from doing it again on Saturday? I'll continue being concerned until the series is over. Chris Chelios. Seriously, we should get a PP for the entire 1st period on Saturday. The Stars should be informed of this grim fact as soon as they land in Detroit.
Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) Isn't that like three games the Stars have ended a game two men down (one onded with a delayed penalty against them when they were already down one, so that counts) Edited May 15, 2008 by Z and D for the C

HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 this one's for hockeycrazy3033: i'm confident the wings will take game five. and with healthy franzen (assuming he resumes his recent dominance or close to it) i'm confident we'll take the pens in six. That's the spirit!
kylee 727 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 im not gonna get too crazy about this game. the Homer interference actually wasnt. i dont even think Homer touched turco. and then to have Homer hit the post in the 3rd... it just wasn't our night tonight. i hope im not saying this saturday night. the door is open for dallas, but im definitely not going to freak. VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 I ended up having to run to the Emergency Room all night, so I could only listen to the game. Disappointing, but it didn't sound like the WIngs played badly. Two disallowed goals and a couple posts. Dallas played much better, what was expected at the beginning, the Wings just weren't prepared. I think next time their killer instinct will be back.
Z and D for the C 712 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 They didn't play very well. And I don't think the puck even went in the net on the second "disallowed goal".
RedRockit 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 They didn't play very well. And I don't think the puck even went in the net on the second "disallowed goal". It was in net, but Turco put it there himself because he was pushed into it (by one of his own guys, IIRC).
kylee 727 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) i dont think the Wings played all that bad. Lets just be fair, Turco showed up, so did their offense. hopefully the curse of JLA (for him) lives up to its name on saturday... Duck Guy 86 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) Wings in 5 the wings are crazy good at the joe in the reg season and the playoffs.. Even though i wanted the wings to sweep the starz i honestly did not see it happening dallas is just 2 good of a team to be swept. . and wow i have never disliked a player more then i do this Ott character... --GO WINGS Edited May 15, 2008 by Duck Guy
Nero 20 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 Dan O'Halloran will be officiating tonight so expect a lot of non-calls, waived off goals, and power plays in favor of Dallas. It probably won't be as bad as Monday was, though. I stand corrected
Guest Brandon_Rivers Report post Posted May 15, 2008 I got so angry at Dan O fagllran i broke all my glasses and now i have cuts all over my hands
GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) Hopefully these past two games are the last we see of O'Helloran and Hasenfratz. How those two made it this far just blows my mind. * Kelly Sutherland too for being a moron tonight like O'Helloran. Datsyerberger 279 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 That second disallowed goal wasn't really a goal (unless you go by the standards O'Halloran set in the WCF last year), but what pissed me off was O'Halloran was waiving his arms and shouting "no goal!" before the play was even dead, much less before Turco got knocked into the crease, like the wanker was trying to cut off a goal before it ever happened. Guy needs to learn he's not the f***in' 'tender of whoever is playing against the Wings.
10 Minute Misconduct 104 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 i dont think the Wings played all that bad. Lets just be fair, Turco showed up, so did their offense. hopefully the curse of JLA (for him) lives up to its name on saturday... the wings played pretty bad in the first half of the game actually. turco did play better tonight. but on top of that we missed some glorious chances...cleary hitting the post from 2 feet out on an open net, pucks just trickling wide etc. its all good tho. pbhawks45 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 I don't mean to be a dick here, but you know that the Wings were on the benefit of a LOT of calls for the early part of the series (Games 1 and 2, most of 3). Most of them being non-calls towards Dallas. I'll admit game 4 was BS with the disallowed goal, but those first three games saw many more PP's for the Wings. I know many who will agree with me on this, not just Stars. Not saying you guys don't have a point, but you only noticed the bad reffing when it was against you guys. Not unlike the Mavs against the Heat in 2006.

Not unlike the Mavs against the Heat in 2006. Game three powerplays were 6-2 in favor of the Stars. Somehow, I don't see how that benefits the Red Wings at all, except for the fact they overcame it and won. To the bolded point, it was 15-15 through three games. The officiating for both games in Dallas was a disgrace and downright pathetic. Edited May 15, 2008 by GoWings1905

Coolio Mendez 7 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 Well, an octopus made it to our ice. Nice I wonder why they never show the Octopus on T.V? Last series the Pepsi Center was loaded with Octopi but the camera man always drew away from it.
DallasStars 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 I read the culprit was ejected.
Coolio Mendez 7 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 I read the culprit was ejected. Only when the zamboni driver swings it around his head. Players complained that the octopi juice would get into there eyes. How ridiculous that sound?
poxer 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 Datsyuk wasn't dumped; he dove for the loose puck and his momentum carried him into Turco; can't force the goalie into the net. Tell that to the ducks last year when they did the same thing and scored a goal... No offense Duck Guy.
DallasStars 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 I read the culprit was ejected. I meant the guy who threw it tonight was ejected. And I think the complaint about swingin it is that juices would fly on the ice. I've never swung an octopus in my free time, so I have no idea on the subject.
