It "worked" wonderfully for Game 3, so I'll say it again.... A win tonight would break a franchise record of 9 wins in a row (regular or playoffs), and the Wings don't seem to like breaking such records, so I'm saying an "L" for tonight. Plus, we're fugitives from the Law of Averages at this point.

Detroit will definitely have to come out stronger tonight than they did on Monday. There is no doubting that Dallas controlled a lot of that game, which is anti-Winged-Wheel style. Let's close it out with a decisive win!

Let's go Red Wings!

Stars will come out hard, they won't roll over like the dives.

If Osgood can hold off the Stars for the first thirty minutes, the wings should pull away and take control.

This series isn't over yet folks. Three wins is not four. The Stars are gonna come out swingin' tonite.

Plus, this game is even more important after last night. If the Pens sweep and we don't, there's an extra day or two of rest for the Pens. This game is extremely important, and I'm nervous as hell.

Of course, it's a rain-out today so no work for me, so there's still eight looooong hours til gametime. jaklgjkadhgjd.

Go Wings!

3-2 Stars.

Dude, i like other teams fans on LGW; it really does add a lot to the forum.

But if you truley loved your team, you would not want to see them suffer any longer. At this point, you would want them to have as quick and painless of a death as possible.

Remember Last of the Mohicans, when the British officer was burning alive at the stake, and Daniel stopped and turned and shot the Brit in the head from long range to put him out of his misery? You really need to hope that Dats, Zetterberg, and and Lidstrom respectfully kill off the Stars, quickly, in more of a sniper fashion rather than a physical beatdown from Drake and McCarty. The Stars are a beaten team, and they know it.

And my friend, I think deep down, you know it too.

Wings 6-2, 2 sweeps in a row.

Edit: Best of luck next year. The Stars had some really awesome stretches this season and I have a lot of respect for them.

I expect no less than a valiant effort from Morrow and his Stars tonight.

However, if the Wings bring their A game -- as they have the last 9 outings -- there is little hope for the Stars. I wouldn't be willing to say it's a lock/sweep... as I have seen many a game where Dallas pulled a fast one and won, despite the odds. They are capable of it.

3-2 Wings in regulation, sez I.

Good luck to both teams, and no injuires for either side, please. Dallas is a worthy opponent, in my eyes. thumbup.gif

Can't wait to read the "Phoenix: I still think it's a hockey market" chapter of Gary Bettman's autobiography. I'm guessing it's going to be chapter 11.

Detroit - 3, Cleary, Zata, Homer.
Dallas - 1, in which I mean Dallas Drake.

You're post made me laugh at my desk - thank you for that! Can this work day go any slower - Game tonight and I cannot wait to bolt out of here!

The only thing the doctors say for sure is that I can't hurt it any more. They would have to carry me off on a stretcher to keep me from playing at this time of the year."

I consider the Detroit Red Wings one of the greatest franchises in any sport. For a player to come in and play, it's so special to wear the jersey."
