Coolio Mendez 7 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 What a JOKE, O'Halloran is a blind goat WTF. I swear Bettman had something to do with this, so his Crosby can get his rest while he pushes the Wings to as many games possible. Datsyuk has 2 goals taken away from him BULL s***! :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: :ranting:
kemosabi 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 i would just like to point out that when ken kal delved to find out what the official said to babcock about the no-goal, he found out that the official claimed "holmstrom's skates weren't in the crease, but i called no-goal because his rear-end was in the crease" ...there you have it folks. the refs can now make up new rules on the fly in the middle of a game. Nero 20 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 Was it O'halloran who stole our game tying goal against the ducks in the last minute this year? In the same situation. Yes. It was also O'Halloran who allowed the goal in the Western Conference Finals where Hasek was pushed into the net against Anaheim.

Williams29fan 6 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 Yes. It was also O'Halloran who allowed the goal in the Western Conference Finals where Hasek was pushed into the net against Anaheim. Wasn't it O"Halloran who blew that call during the SJ game with the netting as well?
RedWingAbner 13 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/recap?gid=2008021005 Yes, O'Hallaran was the Anaheim waive-off as well. Can someone seriously break his legs?
Vincanni 1 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 O'Halloran is and always has been a worthless hack, he resume speaks for itself. If not fired I'd like to see him barred from the playoffs, I have no idea why he's still i the mix right now. He is a god damn Red Wing assassin!

Must Kill 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 he should be fired, brought out into the middle of the woods and beat my the bubble gum gang kids from the hostel movies. Just when he thinks it safe to get up ric flair comes in chop blocks the poor bastard, and locks on a figure 4 and gives the him the old bird. Then just when Danny think its over he gets ran over by Al i the zamboni. yeah i think that sounds like a fitting punishment
Misty Belle 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 it's obvious they can't stop us so they start saying his butt's in the crease when his skates clearly aren't. It's just rediculous. and how about eddie olczyk at the end of the game saying '' at the end anything goes" when they showed Homer getting absolutely mauled out there. NHL: Neanderthal Hockey League ... I tell you , I'm so sick of clutch and grab, mauling hockey, let the skilled players play.
savaking72 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 This is pro sports. There should not be make up calls. If a ref is awarding make up calls then he should lose his job. Just because a ref misses call that doesn't give them the right to a make up call. This is why the NHL needs a coaches challange system. The refs need to be kept in check. shoe 165 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 maybe there will be a silver linning to this whole thing. 3 Games back Holmstom got away with a goal so the refs were prob told to watch him. Now Im sure the refs for tonights game will be showm the tape and get the finger waved in the face :judge: So maybe just maybe they might say dont come down so hard on him just be careful what you call. Right now the refs are dammed if they do and dammed if they dont, nothing like a bit of confusion to get em to put away their whistles
Donaldjr2448 43 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 As pissed as I am, I'm going to look on the bright side, Dallas had the refs and probably their "best" game of the series and they still barely won. Yes I know that they won, but still!! Plus we need a bit of adversity!! I will say this, if we lose Game 5, were in DEEP TROUBLE!!! I wonder if the Mule will return in GM5???? DAMN AM I PISSED!!!! Dabura 12,207 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 There is no silver lining to this. Wings should just forget this game ever happened and focus on the next game. That's what I'm going to do. (After I egg someone's house.)
WiNgSowN 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 REGARDLESS of the outcome of the game in a game of this magnitude the Western Conference Finals the best officials should be out there obviously Mr.O'Dallas is not up to par to handle that kind of game everyone should have been able to allow that goal unless they are 1)Blind 2)Mentally retarded or 3)Favoritism to one team or the other

tweekvp 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 The NHL needs to take away the refs ability to call off the goal. They already have the process in place for review. Use this process to make sure you get the call right every time. It's called progress and the NHL should look into it. For anyone who says this would cause to much down time I call BS on that. It would add suspense even when no action is going on the ice. It works for the NFL and it would work for the NHL.

imisssergei 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 This is my biggest problem with the call. From the NHL rulebook, rule 69.1 "In all cases in which an attacking player initiates intentional or deliberate contact with a goalkeeper, whether or not the goalkeeper is inside or outside the goal crease, and whether or not a goal is scored, the attacking player will receive a penalty (minor or major, as the Referee deems appropriate). In all cases where the infraction being imposed is to the attacking player for hindering the goalkeeper’s ability to move freely in his goal crease, the penalty to be assessed is for goalkeeper interference." So if it was goaltender interference, by rule Homer should have gotten a minor penalty. It's pretty black and white here.

Packer487 3 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 (edited) Yes. It was also O'Halloran who allowed the goal in the Western Conference Finals where Hasek was pushed into the net against Anaheim. That was Game 2 wasn't it? O'Halloran wasn't the ref for that game. It was Pollack and Schick. He also didn't do the game where the puck hit the netting against SJ as someone mentioned earlier. Still an idiot, but he doesn't get "credit" for those. It is nice that the league finally realized that you can't just push the goalie into the net with the puck and have it count.... gordie_howe 0 Report post Posted May 15, 2008 Looks like Holmstrom got caught for not doing what he does all the time. I find it ironic. Wings didn't play to close this out. Period.
