Good luck. Stay positive, strong, and determined.

I echo everyone's sentiments here: you will be in our prayers.

You will feel better soon and be able to enjoy watching the Wings finish this run.

Wow, good luck man...I've got cold chills all over. That feeling of being told this by the doctor just game me a flashback.

Long story short, two years ago I became spontaneously incredibly messed up. Bunch of test=doctor says he thinks I have brain cancer. All else pales.

More tests=nope, a 'virus' knocked out my sense of balance and most of my sense of hearing. Still f***ed up, but what is there to do.

Started living by motto, "Life's too short to drink cheap wine."

Again, good luck!

Hockey fans are as tough as the players - I have confidence you'll fight through this! I work in at a large medical center and our surgeries and drugs get better every year - you're in good hands.

Will be thinking about you during the game tomorrow night - peace be with you!

Just wanted to say thanks to all the posters here as I really enjoy following the Wings games from Denver.

A few months ago I was diagnosed with stomach cancer, and started to receive kemo. Not a pleasant experience. However this has not worked out so on Wednesday morning I will have surgery to remove 1/2 of my stomach. The good news is that I will no longer be able to eat as much (so will lose some weight) however the bad news is that the survival rate for stomach cancer is not all that great to begin with. My doctors feel confident that the surgery will do the trick so we will see.

My family/doctors will not allow me to watch the game tomorrow night even if I am capable of doing so because my body would not be able to take the strain. My heart was beating very fast on Monday night for most of the game and there is no way I could do the same tomorrow night. It reminds me of when I was a kid watching the Michigan-Ohio State games - I thought I was going to have a heart attack then! I will of course record the game/s to view later if I am able.

Anyways, thanks for all of the great posts. It really helps those of us who do not see the Wings regularly stay in touch.

Thanks again and I hope to be back in the future.

:)

Best of luck in your battle. It is things like this that make us all realize what is truly important, but at the same time it can show us what an escape sports can be. Hopefully, the wings win, but more importantly we all hope you win your fight.

Good luck, buddy. Thoughts and prayers and good karma headed your way from Texas. Get well soon and here's looking forward to you being able to join our big dysfunctional family ASAP!

God bless,

Best of luck treating the cancer and get better soon! While hopefully watching our team with the SCF is very important, it still means very little when compared to doing this to keep yourself in as good of mental/physical health as possible. Get on back here whenever you can!
