Adding fonts to your PC/Photoshop. {once you add it to your PC. It will work in your Photo shop}

Go to daFont for the best Fonts out there.

This is how I do it, with Vista

Downloaded>>>Then Extract it to a file you know it's in. You will not need the read me or images. I end up only doing the True Type file.

Then go to start and open your Control Panel. >>>>there you will see Appearance & Personalization. Click on it.

There you will see Fonts>>>>Open it and leave open.

Now open where you have it saved. Both screens should be on your Desktop screen.

Now Drag and drop. Your done.

Does anyone here know how to remove hair from a picture? I have so many pics of myself where my hair is just in the way. Be it one of my bangs covering my eye or just extra strands that make the pic look blah.

I use paint shop pro, btw.

I found out what happen. yowza.gif

It was that some how I got a bad Font in my text list.

It started when I tried to add the font to my Canvass that I was on. Then my PhotoShop shut down and when I restarted the font was already picked. So it just shut me down again.

So what I ended up doing was.

I had to go to my control panel and uninstall all the fonts that I downloaded.

As I reinstall them, I have to make sure I know what one I'm doing. So when the bad one comes up I can lose it for good.

Hey TeeMan,

I'm using PS to create an "American Heart Association Heart Walk" shirt. I used to have PS2, but have since had it wiped out only to be stuck with regular PS now. Anyway, what I'm going for is a heart with the words "American Heart Association" above the heart and "Heart Walk" below. What I'd like is to create a circular text with the first portion dipping below the center point of the heart seeing as that it is much longer than the second portion. Attached, please see a rough draft of what I'm going for, but I had to improvise to create this. I did it very bootleg, pulled a print screen, and then made my adjustments. What I'm looking for help on is where I can find a "button" to create circular text. Advice?

What your looking for is called Warp Text.

Try going to your add Text. Then you may see a T with a Arch with arrows. At the top of the screen.

Center your Text and play with your Warp. My I add, If you make the below text a different layer. It will be easier. wink.gif

Any more Questions, I'll be glad to help. thumbup.gif

Thanks, but that didn't really take care of my problem. The "arc" button only allows for 180 degrees of text. If you notice the picture I posted, the upward arcing text goes around 270 degrees, with the bottom arcing text taking up roughly the remaining 90 degrees. So the question is, is there a way to make the text circle rather than just arc 180 degrees?

Thanks so much in advance.

I'll look for more Warp texts. But I think if you have it all one sentence. The text on the bottom will be upside down.

I'm not concerned about that because I can always use a second text box and upward warp the text. The key here is getting the upward warped text to curl more than 180 degrees on a continued circular path.

What's the matter with the one you have there? You could just vector it out.
I remember the good old days when LGW was worth going to and not full of blind homers who freak out just because someone thinks that the Wings aren't perfect.

Well, to do it properly, you would need Adobe Illustrator or something along those lines. However with photoshop, you would simply add a layer above this and use a selection tool to select all the parts you wanted. This would give you an outline which you could put into a different file and resize all you want. I don't know if you understand any of this cuz its hard to explain. lmk
