hankzet40 233 Report post Posted June 20, 2008 (edited) Agreed. Still boggles my mind that the Flames pull these ridiculous trades/signings off seemingly at will. Edited June 20, 2008 by hankzet40
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted June 20, 2008 Great trade by Calgary. Dump an expensive winger, pick up a cheaper young winger.
Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted June 20, 2008 GRRRRR!!!! One of my favourite players on one of my favourite teams gets moved to one of my least favourite, and it causes my least favourite team to gain extra quality picks!!! BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Guest Four Report post Posted June 21, 2008 Calgary traded its 1st-round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft (17th overall) and 2nd-round pick in 2009 to Los Angeles for C Mike Cammalleri and the Kings’ 2nd-round pick in 2008 (48th overall, previously acquired) http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=241249
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted June 21, 2008 From what it seems, Cammalleri is completely disinterested in playing with an unestablished team. You could just see it in his game. The guy was completely disenchanted with the entire Kings organization. He'll be better on Calgary than he was on the Kings, and the Kings get another pick to help them rebuild. Cammys value at one year left prior to FA status wasnt that great anyways, and it adequately replaces Tanguay. Smart deal for both sides.

Cicada 4 Report post Posted June 21, 2008 Cammileri had that weird arbitartion the season before last with L.A.. wasn't he after like 6.5 mill and was awarded 2 or something... you could see he didn't want to be there anymore
GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted June 21, 2008 He'll quickly find out that the weather was slightly better in LA than in Calgary during the winter months.
Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted June 21, 2008 Good deal for Cammalleri, he'll definately work out better in Calgary. While Los Angeles loses another good player off their roster. If ever there was a laughingstock of a franchise....

If ever there was a laughingstock of a franchise.... You mean a player who didnt want to play on their team? A player that was gonna leave after this season anyways? and who was the least of their good young offense with Brown, O'Sully, Kopitar, and Frolov? The Kings need draft picks in a defenseman-heavy draft more than they do young forwards.
