RainingBlood 8 Report post Posted June 21, 2008 (edited) I really dont pay much attention to other teams in the NHL a lot, but im wathing the draft and when tampa bay picked for their 1st pick im like HOLY s*** that's Oren Koules. For people who dont know who Oren Koules is. He is the part owner of Twisted Pictures which is a movie production company out in LA, They have made some small movies but their real money maker is the Saw franchise. I know Oren used to be a minor league hockey player. I guess if Tampa still sux at least they will be invited to some movie premieres Edited June 21, 2008 by RainingBlood
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted June 21, 2008 Yup. This has been a big issue last year, particularly because Feaster wanted to move one of the big three, and there were issues that Koules wouldnt buy the team if one of St. Louis, Richards, or Lecavalier were traded. I guess Koules ending up being fine with the Richards deal (im pretty sure even though he wasnt the official owner yet, they still had to run the trade by him). Spectors was keeping tabs on the TB ownership saga for a while..

octopusonice 0 Report post Posted June 22, 2008 TB sure became a riches to rags story. I hope the new ownership gets rid of the Lightning Bug mascot if it hasn't happened already. I still haven't recovered from the 2002 DET @ TB game I saw on NHL Center Ice where they announced between periods that Lightning Bug was having a birthday party. I mean CRIMINY! Couldn't they have found a player to interview or sold more advertising time?
