edicius 3,269 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 A little shocked Nashville traded him... Honestly, I'm not. They seem to want to gut parts of that team every offseason now.
Glubki 17 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 That is a surprising move - I wonder if the Preds are targeting Redden?
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 A little shocked Nashville traded him... Maybe they're going after Campbell It'll be good for Suter and Weber to eat up Zidlickys time if they don't replace him. Brunette goes back to the Wild.
nkuehnl 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 Zidlicky was sliding down the depth chart anyway. Hamhuis, Weber, and Suter are all better players now. This gives them some room to go after a winger like Rolston or Naslund.
Probert 5 For Fighting 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 That is a surprising move - I wonder if the Preds are targeting Redden? The Preds are targeting noone. They'll get to the cap floor and that's it. Nice moves by Minnesota. They're starting to look good again. You can build around Zdlicky and Burns on the backend for a few years. Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted July 1, 2008 When we were talking about Shea, I believe I called this.... Shea got paid now his ice needs to increase, Nashville still has a great D-core. I hate that team, but they do run it well.

Maybe they're going after Campbell It'll be good for Suter and Weber to eat up Zidlickys time if they don't replace him. Brunette goes back to the Wild. Nash does have a few good D... To be honest, Nash is one of the few teams that gave them some trouble last year... Good team for sure - loved it when the players were on the ice applauding the fans... They are already 3m over the floor - they probably aren't after Redden but the guys at the Pred's HF board think they will be going after a top 6 forward... Opie 308 Report post Posted July 2, 2008 NO way Nashville is going after anyone, the Owners (if he isn't in prison soon) are already complaining they are losing money, they will stay right around the floor. Because, and this logic doesn't make sense to me but it appears to be their logic, if they spend less money they will have more money to not lose. I guess something like that, instead of putting money into the product, what is the word I am looking for...... oh yeah investment, and letting the product draw a fan base to help the team make money! Look at Tampa Rays, couldn't sell out a game even with the Sox or Yanks in town, now every game is a sell out, Carolina on their cup runs, put a winner in the building and that will put asses in the seats. They should have sold and moved this team, however for some reason the BOG or Bettman or the Owners or the Hockey gods, whomever wants this team in Nashville and apparently millionaires are willing to buy the team just to lose money! It is like the JV for owners and GM's hoping to make it to the show!
