Which teams will be the best...and the worst in 08-09?

Well excluding our Red Wings as the best I think that NJD are shaping up to be a prime contender and Tampa has made a lot of improvements. As the worst I definately say the Vancouver Canucks. They havent made a splash in FA and all they have left is Luongo. Who are your choices?

Best:Us obviously. I honestly dont think anybody is close on paper. we dominated the leauge without Hossa and without Stuart for most of the year. Also i think Conkblock is more reliable than Hasek was last year

Other Contenders: SJ, Ana, Dal are still going to be competitive. Central will be competetive. Bjs are much improved ( LIKE BJS COULD GET ANY BETTER, sry had too haha) Chicago is gonna be good, preds will still be decent. Montreal Pitts and NYR will probably own the east. Tampa is also much improved and could win there division, but will not go far in the east

worst.: Atl, Flordia, Toronto, and to a lesser point St. Lousis will all finish with less than 30 wins me thinks. Vancouver will have a dreadful season.

Signifigantly Improved: Cbjs, Oilers, Bhawks, tampa, Montreal, Us,Yotes

Gotten Worse: Wild, Pens,Flordia, leafs, preds and st. lousis simply cause they wont be able to compete withj other teams in our div. oh and Calgary got weaker, though they have a top 5 player for each position so i still think there a lock for playoffs.

Florida as the worst, likely. Maybe Columbus. I'm betting the Penguins will not be any good.

New York could be near the top, probably will. Dallas. Red Wings may coast to another Presidents Trophy, but I'm thinking it's a toss-up.

I'm betting the Penguins will not be any good.

What makes you believe that? Losing Hossa, Malone, and Roberts? Three big names for sure, but they just gained Fedetenko and Satan... Losing what they lost just decreased their chances of being the *second* best team in the league, but they will still be one of the best. Crosby, Malkin, and Fleury are only going to get better.
