Alexander Radulov

Not sure if anyone has seen this but both the NHL and the Preds expect Radulov to be in camp this year. They also expect the Russian league to hold up the agreement that they will not let any player still under contract in the NHL to play in their league. Hopefully, Radulov stays in the NHL even though I dislike the Preds. I don't want to see young talented players (or really any talented players) leave the NHL for Russia.

I think this press release is a marketing ploy by Nashville, because I read that Rads already signed the deal with Russia, and wantd to go there. Without Radulov, Nashville has nothing to market the future with, so therefore they are saying this. I still don't understand why these fans down here like this team, the organization lies to them and all they want is more money from the city! I just don't get it!

It sounds like Nashville may have international bite to its bark.
My money on the board pledge:
$1 for each goal scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $5 for each hat trick scored by a player after whom I have named a hamster.
An additional $10 if any of the above goals is the GWG goal that gives us the series win.
An additional $50 if it is the GWG that wins us the Cup.
$5 for a SO by Jimmy.
Hamsters' names (current players in RED): Henrik Pavel Tomas Nicklas Dominik
Niklas Matthieu Daniel Robert
Johan Andreas Valtteri Jonathan
Andrew Patrick Ian Todd
And introducing: Jordin Damien Gustav James
TOTAL SO FAR: $30

Nothing to market???? Arnott, Dumont (two 70+ points last season, not to shabby) and also Sullivan was out a good bit last season . . . They have a pretty good farm system (especially on defense and in goal). I think that they have little to market in the near future (not sure if this is what you were trying to say?). With good prospects they can always trade and get some good NHL players in return. Also, let's not forget that this is a team that gave us a scare in the first round.
As far as organization lying to the fans, how do you figure? They keep the team in the city and EVEN get them into the playoffs. I agree that now is a hairy time for the Preds, but considering everything they aren't doing to bad (look at Tampa Bay last year a talented team- on paper but worst in the league). I think that the bigger problem for the Preds is Trotz (this is probably for another thread).
Sorry for the rant . . . as far as the topic, I hope that Radulov fulfills his contract commitments.

If Radulov goes, it will be bad for the Preds, but not the end of the world. There's plenty of talent there, just a matter of development.
