The big E just donated the most money ever to charity by a Canadian sports figure. Classy move IMO. 5 Million is a lot of cash.

I loved Big E, and personally thought he was a great player (he never disappointed me). This was a great thing he did.

My first reaction was: didn't I hear about this donation a long, long time ago? Then I read the article and figured that this appears to be the official ceremony to celebrate the building, which was built, in large part due to the donation.
The actual donation was made about a year ago.

Parade magazine had a thing on the top celebrity givers for 2007, and Lindros' name was like #6 or something. It had the $5 mil gift to the hospital as his cause.
Good for him. It's nice to see someone giving back, and giving to a hospital benefits everyone in that area. Nice to see a hockey player getting some good press as well, although the gift is more important.

Money on the board: $40
Thanks for a great season, guys. You exceeded expectations and have given us something to look forward to as the long summer approaches.
And next year we get to start in October, like hockey is SUPPOSED to.

I like it when they give back. Makes them just that much better.
