You know NFM25, in the economy we are in today, I can't believe you as a MOD don't have this site open on your PC 24/7. This needs to be your full time job. You should be checking this site every second of every day for the newest postings and rantings. Why if I don't hear a response to this very post in the next 5 minutes, I just might not post again.[\sarcasm]

Just thought of something. Palin still seems to have a hard time understanding what the VP does. She says it is to "run the senate." She is sadly mistaken. Here is a metaphor che can understand. The VP is like a backup goalie during the playoffs.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about or have any understanding of Constitutional Law. The VP actually is in charge of the Senate. From Article I Section III "The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no vote, unless they be equally divided. " Interestingly Joe Biden didn't even know which Article of the Constitution addressed the VP's role in the Senate (he thought it was Article II). And before you use the next point that you read on an email someone sent you, it does not matter that the VP only votes in the case of a tie because that is the only time that the VP's vote would really matter. A vote at any other time wouldn't change anything it would just be siding with the group that would win or lose anyway.

Michigan losing jobs has nothing to do with voting democratic, and it wouldnt make a difference if they voted republican. I has to do with the lose manufactoring jobs to overseas markets. Crimes goes hand in hand with unemployment. There are plenty of ways to run a government, ir really does not have anything to do with being rightwing or leftwing. Canada, a extremely liberal left wing country, had been relatively unscathed by this economics crisis, yet during the last recession in the 1990's, canada took a big hit and america was the one unscathed. But right now its obvious the republicans have done a horrible job. It's only natural that the ONLY other party is doing so well.

And Palin is a dumbass.

Actually, it does have to do with voting democratic but you are right that Michigan is losing manufacturing jobs to overseas markets. The democratic party is for higher corporate taxes (2nd highest in the world of industrialized countries), much stricter exhaust and other EPA standards, and other restrictions on businesses and corporations (such as OSHA, IFTA, RLUPA, Title VII, and other regulations) - (some of these may be good ideas but put much more restrictions on American corporations than other countries and therefore make companies want to relocate there as opposed to here. Look at GM, Chevrolet, and Ford sales globally as compared to the US. They are doing well (or were before this global economic slowdown), it is only in America that they are having major sales problems. There are TOO many regulations on automobiles manufactured in the United States (for instance until recently everyone wanted to buy an SUV but auto makers were required to manufacture a certain percentage of autos with high MPG that made them manufacture more smaller cars which were not selling well rather than the lower MPG SUV's which were selling well). For a great example look at when Chrysler Corporation (a US corporation) merged with Daimler-Benz (a German Corporation) in 1998 to create DaimlerChrysler. The newly formed corporation debated about whether the USA or Germany was the best place to incorporate, have corporate headquarters, and manufacturing plants. DaimlerChrysler chose Germany largely (they stated) because of corporate and shareholder tax rates, restrictions on manufacturing and employees, and sales exports. Taxes were the major reason, not only does the USA have the 2nd highest rate of an industrialized country but also the USA taxes ALL income worldwide, regardless of taxes paid to other countries (which most other countries do not or at least reduce) which increases the overall tax. So it really does matter.
