The Griffins hit the road to take on the struggling Milwaukee Admirals. The Griffins haven’t lost in regulation in their opening six matches and are coming off a SO loss to the Crunch. Milwaukee have recently acquired bruising 6’6 forward Hugh Jessiman as a result of the Ranger trading the prospect to the Predators. Jessiman was a first round selection in the 2003 NHL Draft but has failed to live up to the expectations. This is the beginning of what he hopes is a fresh start.

Expected in net for the Admirals is former Griffin Drew MacIntyre. They seemingly have a very tall team with only 3 players on their roster shy of 6 foot and their size could pose a test for a young Griffins outfit.

Probable line-up:

Leino - Helm - Haydar
Mursak - Pare - Abdelkader
Ritola - Emmerton - Wilson
Gagnon - Oulahen – Downey

Ericsson - Jozsa
Kindl - Galvin
Stafford – Kolosov

Howard
Larsson

Team Leaders:

Goals: Abdelkader (6)
Assists: Leino (5)
Points: Leino (9)
Penalty Minutes: Abdelkader, Wilson (15)

Notes:

• After his best outing of the season Jimmy Howard is expected to get the start again.
• Ryan Oulahen is playing some fine hockey as he attempts to win a contract with Detroit at seasons end.

Tied at 1 with 17 minutes remaining in the 3rd. Wilson the lone goal assisted by Leino and Helm.

C'mon Griffins!

Well, we lose in OT. Tonight we have Milwaukee at home. And don't forget, it's Obama-McCain bobblehead night.

Well the Griffins lost 5-4 in regulation, first game they go without a point.

Griffins concede 5 goals in the opening period! Larsson started in net and gave up 4 goals on 7 shots before being benched.

They fought back and got to within 1 but couldn't tie it up. As for our prospects, Leino had 3 assists, Helm had 2 assists and Ritola had a goal.
