FischerFan1973 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2008 I didn't get to watch any pre-game and not much of the game, so I didn't hear why Larry Murphy wasn't there. Does anyone know why? Personally I enjoyed Craig Simpson! I liked him when he was a player and he does a good job commentating.

Personally I enjoyed Craig Simpson! I liked him when he was a player and he does a good job commentating. I made the comment last night on how much I liked Craig Simpson calling the game. I hope all the best to Murph and his daughter.

jvxp 0 Report post Posted November 21, 2008 Excellent calling of the game by Ken and Craig. Oh god.................Ken...yes, Craig....no. How did he call Hudler's name in the game(Herdler)? Anytime he spoke it was Oilers, Oilers,Oilers.
servo 15 Report post Posted November 21, 2008 Simpson is awesome on Hockey Academy. He has a huge depth of knowledge about the game and is very tied into the Oilers so, of course when he commentates it is going to sound like he is pro Oilers.

I some what agree on his knowledge of the game, so don't have him on a wings broadcast, the Oilers stink. You can't build up a pile of soft poop!

You can't build up a pile of soft poop! The other option is to have Ken Daniels calling the game by himself. Thrilling.
RusDRW 155 Report post Posted November 22, 2008 I liked how Craig was commentaiting last night. He told more about Oilers, yes, but it wasn't much of a deal.
going_top_shelf 6 Report post Posted November 25, 2008 I thought Simpson was phenomenal! He sounds like a brilliant guy and he's an incredible color analyst. Even if he is pro oilers...but I mean come on, the guy PLAYED for the oilers. Still though, he was a great analyst.
