Any one know what song they played when both team walked out onto the field?

It sounded really familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it. Anyone know or have a video of it?

Answering my own question in case others shared it:

Song is: Anberlin - Feel Good Drag

How can they say Detroit sucks when we are 4-0 against them this season, 2 more games to go, high chance we can go 6-0, they should just shut up i think.

It's just a fan chant of a team against the Red Wings. Just something to have fun with if you aren't rooting for the Red Wings, nothing more or less and it shouldn't be taken out of context.

This was the 1st alternate site game played by the DRW since 24/02/1994: a home game vs. the Hartford Whalers, played in Cleveland, OH and a 3-0 win by Detroit. It was during the NHL experiment that spanned two seasons (1992-93 & 1993-94), where games were played in non-NHL cities. Detroit played 4 games like that: 2 in Cleveland, 1 in Milawukee and 1 in Minneapolis.

After Pavel Datsyuk's sweet goal, when McGuire said: "I'm telling you, he got a burst of wind at his back that pushed him through the defense.

Wind this, wind that. It's getting lame listening how the wind helped the Wings win. I can't stand McGuire anymore. <_<

Was this the same burst of wind that pushed Lilja's back that forced him head first into the boards and no penalty was called on this so called "burst of wind"?

Ok, forget every other Blackhawks fan quote so far. Here's the ABSOLUTE best one yet -

"How can you respect a team that plays dirty hockey and gets away with it because the NHL has a hard-on for them?

The wings play some of the dirtiest hockey in the league, late hits, high hits, slashing and hooking like crazy...no calls. On of their players runs our goalie, oops, thats our fault, we should have given you a clear lane to the net.

What? They got called for that run? Better throw a tantrum and make the refs call a BS Highsticking on Toews to "make it even".

They don't play a clean game, there is nothing to respect."

I don't think I've ever found a better example of a bandwaggoner fan who doesn't know s*** about hockey. :)

Datsyuk is so good, that he can use the wind to his advantage, but it somehow escaped the two Blackhawks he schooled.

He is right that the NHL does have a hard-on for us but not in a good way like they do with Crosby.

This pleb more than likely does not watch much hockey.

Datsyuk is so good, that he can use the wind to his advantage, but it somehow escaped the two Blackhawks he schooled.

Didn't you know Datsyuk can summon the wind and allow it to flow however he wishes, he is a modern day superhero. He let a hurricane force wind hit his back as he seemingly glided through the blackhawks defense.

'Hawks fans have been chanting "Detroit sucks" for years and years. They did it back in the '90s, they did it a few years ago when they were the worst team in the league and they'll probably continue to do it. I think it's funny, but I do think it makes them look a little ridiculous.

Anyway, I don't know if this has been mentioned in here yet, but it seems there is legitimate interest in bringing the Winter Classic to Michigan Stadium in the near future. Thoughts?

You all have it wrong, datsyuk actually used his alien magnetic powers to split the d, then he used an alien mind trick to settle the puck down and hypnotized huet into opening his 5 hole. He used his alien gas power to gain speed.

Best part was the crowed holding the paper cards that said "Red Wings"

I thought so too... I rewound the DVR and it also had Chicago on the right hand side, but it was a dark color and not nearly as noticeable.

Apparently the pilot and camera guy in the airplane tilted the shot so that you mostly saw the Red Wings side. ;) Probably just a case of bad timing.

Every time the people around us started chanting Detroit sucks, we just started chanting with them Stanley Cup, it shut them up really quick. haha

I was at the game, and it was cold.

The banter between the Wings and Hawks fans was pretty fun to hear. The Wings fans would yell "Let's Go Red Wings", and the Hawks fans would counter with "Detroit sucks!" over and over. I also heard a few "Let's Go Lions" chants.

Watching the fans throwing the cards after they discovered they had written Red Wings was hilarious.

The anthem got very loud, and that's mainly what I was hoping for.

That's three games the Hawks have surrendered two goal leads to lose the game to the Wings this season. Which is completely unacceptable. Speaks volumes about how much further the Hawks have to go to become "elite" and how cool and collected the experienced Red Wing organization is.
