Last night's game (30/12/2008) was the 700th between Detroit and Chicago, the most occurring regular season match-up in NHL history (Montreal and Boston stands at 696; Montreal and Toronto stands at 692). The franchise's record vs. Chicago:

355W-254L-84T-5OTL-2SOL.

What teams does Detroit have losing records against? Montreal for sure and I'm thinking Boston as well. I know we are only up a game or two aginst Toronto.

Correction.....

The Wings played in the LAST back-to-back finals games in 1955 as well. The dates were April 9 & 10. We all know what happened that year (won the cup) and certainly hope the other thing don't come true (42 year drought).

Here is the link. Scroll all the way to the bottom.

Thank you, but no correction is necessary; at least, not this time.

Osgood now has four career playoff assists as a Red Wing. That's a new record for Detroit goalies. The previous high was three, shared by Tim Cheveldae and Greg Stefan.
