Unfortunately the turn out has not been as big as we thought it would be for these get togethers. The largest I attended was around 10, and that was a few years ago. Been trying to keep it to one a month to get the best showing. I, or someone, will start a thread at the end of each month to see what date will work for the most folks in the next month. Venue can change according to where the majority are driving from.

So...what's lame? The goofy Wing Nut hat or that you can't make it that night? rolleyes.gif

Very cool HR40! I pm'd a couple of folks that are in the area, but they have not committed yet (kinda new, kinda shy?). Hopefully a few more of the "interested" folks can make it out. Updating...

The plan is to meet at the Buffalo Wild Wings at Hall and Mound roads. Puck drop is at 10:30. Some will get there as early as 9:00 to eat and get tables for us.

Called for reservations....they don't take them. It won't be a problem getting as many tables as we need. I'll be there around 9 for dinner.

It looks like I've got a conflict for tonight. I've got friends I haven't seen in a while coming into town tonight (this happened within the last few days), so I'll be hopping around downtown Royal Oak this evening...

I was really looking forward to this, too. Hopefully nothing pops up for the Washington game at the end of the month!

WEATHER UPDATE
There were some concerns by a few folks yesterday afternoon and evening about the weather. Instead of 4-8" that was forcast, they say we are looking at 2-5", which is much more agreeable for driving. RivalRed and I will both be there. Sounds like Matt may show. Hope the rest aren't scaired off by a few flurries. We got together for the last meeting of the Wings and Sharks and had a blast. stanley.gif boxing.gif clap.gif carrot.gif banana.gif punk.gif


edit: after posting I saw that the carrot and banana aren't dancing. They must be Sharks fans, stunned again!

As of 3:00, plows are working on Groesbeck and Hall roads. Roads are in good shape.

Called Buffalo Wild Wings....they are open till 2:00 and the kitchen closes at 1:45.

Sorry, guys. Tried to make it for the puck drop. Got to about Hall Road & Garfield before my dad decided the roads were too bad.

I really wanted to make it out there. Next time, for sure - if weather permits.

No need to apologize....I was thinking on the way out that I maybe should have stayed home! In attendance were: Rivalred, Hocky&beer (mr. & mrs.) and myself. Good game and very good company!

Seems like folks want to meet for the Washington game on the 31st. Thinking maybe the Buffalo Wild wings in the Clem. Probly start a thread tomorrow and see what folks think.

my secret plans were to crash this party, probably with me and my gf. The biggest thing that prevented me from doing that is the weather. We shoveled, had dinner and then saw all our shoveling get covered up and thought..not gonna happen.

glad to see everyone had a good time. unfortunately i have to work on the 31st til 3pm so not gonna be able to join anyone for that date. In the future dates, some of the saturday games at 8pm might be feasible for me to attend.

Hey guys and girls sorry i didn't make it but once i learned that the Cup was at one of the bars in my hometown I went there. Didn't get to drink out of it but it still got to see it!
