Despite last night's loss the Grand Rapids Griffins are still top of the North Division. They are again on the road as they take on a surging Manchester team who have gained at least a point from their past 5 games. The Griffins will need offence from more than just the red hot line of Lemieux - McGrath - Pare, as they all contributed for the teams lone goal last night. Daniel Larsson was in net yesterday and he stopped 30 of 32 shots and was awarded the games 2nd star despite the loss.

Jimmy Howard will be in net tonight and is coming off a shutout so he will be looking to extend his shutout streak. Manchester have a variety of offensive talents, including the very short but talented Justin Azevedo who has 8 points in 8 games in the AHL.

Possible line-up:

Leino - Abdelkader - Tardif
Lemieux - McGrath - Pare
Ritola - Emmerton - Haydar
Oulahen - Helm - Downey

Ericsson - Jozsa
Galvin - Kindl
Kolosov - Stafford

Larsson
Howard

Team Leaders:

Goals: Haydar (13), Ritola (11)
Assists: Leino (19), Kindl (17)
Points: Leino (28), Haydar, Helm (26)
Penalty Minutes: Downey (60), Abdelkader (53)

Notes:

• Despite last night's loss, the Griffins have the fewest amount of regulation losses in the league with just 8.
• Evan McGrath has 10 points from the past 10 games (4-6-10)

Scoreless after 2 periods. Shots 23 apiece, Howard in net.

Great to see Mursak back in the line-up tonight, and he has a team high 3 shots so far. Emmerton was scratched so Jan could play and I'm really hoping he can cement his spot in the side.
