Because we're at home, 4-3 SO win. The Wings are down 3 nothing with 7 and half and score 3 and Datsyuk scores the winner in the shootout.

I was thinking a similar prediction: wings head to the third period down 2-0 and storm back for 4 unanswered goals in the third. It just seems like pretty much every game has some variation of that.

MLive -

Update from Monday's practice: Wings coach Mike Babcock said Ty Conklin will start in goal Tuesday against Columbus and Chris Osgood will start Thursday vs. Dallas. Osgood has a good career record against the Stars (27-10-3 regular season, 8-4 playoffs), so perhaps Conklin will start again Saturday against Buffalo, followed by Osgood next Monday in Dallas.

Babcock also said Brett Lebda and Chris Chelios will be back in the lineup Tuesday, replacing Andreas Lilja and Derek Meech. He's probably not going to rotate the fifth and six defense spots, since Lilja and Lebda are fairly secure in their positions, but he clearly wants to work Chelios and Meech in from time to time.

The game is 0 -0 with 30 seconds left in OT. Babs puts on his trusty "Al Capone" toque and while the entire Blue Jackets team is staring in awestruck envy, with a little fear on their faces, Conks sends one down the length of the ice and gets the game winner, unassisted.

The Blue Jackets are just ravaged with injuries. That said, Mason has been so solid for them that they've been winning games.

This is a game, though, that the Wings should win and need to win. It's interesting that Lilja is out for Chelios tonight. If Cheli plays a sub-par game, it's going to be difficult arguing for him to get any ice time the rest of the season, barring injury to another defenseman.

Nice!

The Wings will come out hard tonight and eventually wrap this one up by a 3-1 score. Mason keeps it close, but early goals by Hossa and Zetterberg leave the Blue Jackets scrambling. Columbus manages to pot one in the second, but the Wings do a great job of protecting the puck and their lead, and they manage to dump one more into the empty net when Mason heads to the bench.
