mjlegend 155 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/story/?id=2629...ines_nhl-bruins How does a grown man of 21 get mono these days? I had it when I was 16, for Christsakes and I know exactly why I got it. F. you, Jaime! Anyway, here's hoping this triggers a Bruins free-fall. If Kessel's out a couple of weeks or so, it might actually cause them a drop in the standings.
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 Having cancer and all probably affected Kessel's immune system a bit. That said, HUGE blow to the Bruins.
Seraph 240 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 These things get passed around on sports teams too. And no, not in a steamy locker room sort of way. But with water bottle sharing and stuff like that. Hopefully there won't be an outbreak. Haha.
FireCaptain 563 Report post Posted January 13, 2009 MRSA is pretty common among sports teams as well and it's a lot more dangerous. Close confines and sharing of fluids can lead to lots of disease sharing - ask anyone who has a kid in daycare.

Just means more ice time for Ryder,Krejci,Wheeler,Savard,Lucic etc.

mjlegend 155 Report post Posted January 14, 2009 Maybe he's just really bored... Cross country skiing is great if you live in a small country. Seriously, friends, it's mono; perhaps the most embarrassing disease you can have if you're a high school kid. He'll feel like crap for a month, but he'll recover.
