Conks has been playing like an MVP goaltender so far. He really needs to become of the starter goalie on this team. Once again, the defense looks terrible and if it wasn't for some miraculous saves by Conks, this could easily be 2-0 already.

Wings playing like s*** once again. It's sad. So much talent and so little effort. Conklin is the sole reason the game is tied at the moment.

Good pace to this on early. Difference is Detroit is missing the net or having their shots blocked and Washington is getting stuffed by Conklin. Pretty good up and down hockey, though.

meech has a hard slapshot, but he could do with some lessons from lids on how to look for the right time to shoot.

I like seeing Abdelkader crashing the net. I don't know about his hands, but so far he's been willing to tough it out along the boards and skate down the goalies throat for a tip.

This is the 2nd game in a row where the Wings seem to be flatter on their feet.
Not that they are playing horribly (but it's not good either), but they seem to lack that mental energy to give the effort to be crisp.

I don't think we are playing bad. I thought Kopecky was pretty good today but I have not heard his name for little long time this game after 7 or 8 minutes were gone.
