Holmstrom96 347 Report post Posted February 9, 2009 Check this out, it's worth a read: http://boards.washingtoncaps.com/index.php...=82166&st=0 It's caps fans noticing the NBC bias toward 1 shot Cindy and how awesome he and his 1 shot, and his team's ZERO goals are. EuroTwin 240 Report post Posted February 9, 2009 I find it endlessly hilarious that they're all up in arms about Hossa leaving. But Conklin, who was with them for longer... nothing. Not that I imagine Conks has a problem with that.
Copenhagen848 58 Report post Posted February 9, 2009 Yesterday's game by far gave me the most satisfaction so far this season. So many wonderful things happened: They got shut out at home by Conks, Crosbitch was completely shut down, Hossa scored, and it was on NBC for everyone to see
xtrememachine1 795 Report post Posted February 9, 2009 Me too. I'm not sold on him for the playoffs...but right now, he's playing stellar hockey. When I was watching Conklin play for the Pens last year, I kept thinking to myself, "He'd be a great fit for the Wings. Great at rebound control, good puck handler, doesn't let up softies and can come up big from time to time." Really, that's all the Wings need from their goalie. The defense does the rest. cusimano_brothers 1,655 Report post Posted February 9, 2009 Yesterday's game was the DRW's 6th shutout win, with no losses or ties. The franchise record for shutout wins, with no losses or ties is 9, set in both 1995-96 and 2005-06.
xtrememachine1 795 Report post Posted February 9, 2009 ...funny that the Pensfans are all saying "not a big deal, it's only regular season." Yet WAAAAAAAAY back in Novemeber when they came back to win in OT, the fans were already talking Stanley Cup Parade... Don't I know it. I wanted this win almost as badly as a SCF win. I was sick of hearing, "Yeah, we're having a bad season, but at least we beat Hossa and the Red Wings!" Hossa's goal was great and the fact that he schooled Jordan Staal (their "hero" from the last game) was even better. Great win for the Wings

Lovin Jiri Fischer 147 Report post Posted February 9, 2009 On the Pens grades for yesterday, they have Hossa's name x'ed out at the bottom. It's like he's the new Voldemort/"He who must not be named" http://www.faceoff-factor.com/grading-the-...vs-wings-grades

BuckeyeWingsfan80 209 Report post Posted February 10, 2009 Sid: B The effort was there. But again, who is he going to pass it to on that line? Who can blame him for trying to do it all himself? If I were him I’d fire a puck toward Shero’s box and go on strike until RS wakes up and finds him an NHL caliber winger. Only an inbred Pittspuke fan gives Cindy a B for "the effort" About the only thing Crysby did yesterday that showed any aggressiveness was getting into a shoving match with Sammy, which Sammy wasn't even aware he was in for nearly 10 seconds, and to slash Maltby above the boot. Pathetic. He also says the Hossa backhander was from "40 feet away". I guess the rink is now 400 feet long or something
LIDSTROM-YZERMAN4PRESIDENT 0 Report post Posted February 10, 2009 Man, Fleury was giving up those rebounds all day. Thats what makes Conks so good, he has phenomenal rebound control.
