What a great f-ing game.

This is definitely my favorite game all season.

Hosasa is awesome.
Leino is awesome.
Conklin is awesome and with ANOTHER shutout but he still won't play the next game.

Just cause you look like the gimp don't mean you play like the gimp!

Note to Pierre: This isn't a bad loss for Pittsburgh. They were simply overmatched. That doesn't make it a bad loss, just a harsh realization.

Penguins really do suck. Why did they make the playoff last 2 seasons? Because East is terrible, just bunch of joking teams.

Are you kidding? Block you? And miss watching you stumble around the forum looking for an argument like a dog sniffing butts? It would be like turning off a bad episode of Jerry Springer. You know you shouldn't be watching, but you just... can't... help... it...

How bout this radical statement: this is a good win for the Wings. It really is. We embarassed the Pens today clap.gif

And Olczyk actually just made a good point too...we're depleted by injuries. And we still have dominated the past two games.

Conks gets the puck for his sixth shutout of the season.

My three stars are Conklin, Datsyuk and Lilja.

And of course, Pierre goes right up to Hank and asks about Crosby. ******. dry.gif

Is it just me, or does Conklin play some of his best hockey in big games? The Pens, the Sharks, the back-to-backs against Chicgao? Hes showing an awful lot of composure out there. Looks incredibly calm.

Is penguins GM dumb? They picked Stall and Fleury in the first round WOW!!

You're kidding with this statement...right?
It's amazing how much clarity comes when you care more about the Red Wings than any individual player.

I love how half the time we play this ~*~super spechul~*~ "offensive beast" of a team we shut them out.

Mwahahaha! Great game Wings!
Hudler!!

"If you didn't know him, and saw him without hockey gear, you'd never suspect Datsyuk to be a world-class athlete. He walks a bit hunched over. His gait is somewhat crab-like, almost like he's still skating, even on dry land.

But put him on skates and he's Houdini on ice. He is not the fastest skater by a long shot, but there can't be too many who are stronger or more flexible. Checking him has to feel like checking Gumby. You might get a piece of him, but he bounces away, moving faster thanks to the leverage he gained from your check."

Beating the Penguins is always satisfying. Especially after all that whining and crying and belly-aching during the SCF last year.

I love how Conks and Hossa both absolutely showed up for this game.

The Wings actually tried to win, but didn't make it look difficult really, blocking shots, picking their moments, calm and collected. I really, really liked what I saw today.

I am officially on the Ty Conklin bandwagon. He was just stellar today. Six shutouts -- all of Detroit's shutouts as a matter of fact -- are pretty good evidence, even if the D did help today, a lot.

He did have something to prove, if you will, but I just love his confidence out there.
