And giving Sergei a 6 on mobility is a gross underrating.

Crosby's Bettman Real Doll is going to get quite a workout tonight.

It's not only with mobility.
He's totally underrated by Howe.

Well, yeah, but that was the one that stood out most to me. This was in a Russian paper? Or what?

Crosby's Bettman Real Doll is going to get quite a workout tonight.

No question, yes.
Maybe he told about current Sergey's form?

You make a very persuasive argument here.

In 4-5 years I have a sneaking suspicion that Dats will have been the better all around player. To me it looks like Dats will be this good for quite a few more years.
Now if we are talking just post season I don't think Dats will ever catch up.

I like Dats better because he wants to be here. Federov tried to leave at every chance he got and after saying how our last offer was an insult to his manhood left for LESS money. Screw him.

You know for something that seemed so obvious after you typed it, I never looked at it that way!!

I have no idea what "affective tolerance" is, but I used it as "everything else" because at his peak, Fedorov could take over a game like Datsyuk is not able to. I think Datsyuk will have a better career, but Fedorov was just out of this world at his peak.

NO question? Not so sure about that. I'm sort of in the thinking that Fedorov had a higher peak, but Datsyuk will maintain his peak for longer. There's outstanding value in both of those careers, but Datsyuk wins because he actually wants to be here, as someone else said.
Dumb question: Why not have Yzerman rate both of them, given that he actually played with both of them? Not to mention the ratings being more fair because they're coming from the same scale. Maybe Mr. Hockey's just a REALLY tough grader. Or something.

You bring up some very good points. Mr. Hockey was before my time but I know he was a balls out type of player. I bet he was extra hard on rating Fedorov for all the drama and bulls*** he brought with him... thats not what hockey is about especially when you could play as well as Fedorov could. All that talent the Fedorov had was held back by his lack of heart for the game... which Datysuk has in Spades. I was skeptical on Datsyuk early in his career because he was reminding me alot of Fedorov but since Stevie and Shanny passed on the torch he has totally transformed into an incredible all round player.
