K Since Marian Hossa Already stated he'd sign for less, how about this:

Hossa signs for 6.1 Mil/Season

Franzen signs long term with a cap hit at 3 mil maybe?

Hudler for about 2 mil a year

Samuelsson how about make him a Red Wings for life? Cap hit of 1.5 a year

Leino for 0.9 for another 3 years

Chelios retires

Kopecky can go

trade Lilja

if absolutely necessary trade Fil

K this is first post be easy on me :D

:P

Hossa supposed to sign a deal which falls in between Datsyuk 6.7 and Zetterberg's 6

and yeah I wish the rest would sign for that much

hudler will probably make around 3.3 if he wants to go to arbitration anyways

Welcome, Anthony! I have never understood the Cap Thing, but on the surface your plan looks fine to me, especially about Chelios, Kopecky and Fil.

I think I agree....trade him while his value is good..... he is not responsible with the puck....makes alot of bad moves and is NOT a pressure guy.. Paying him pretty good not to be dependable in a pinch!

He made some mistakes coming out of the lockout year and one big one against the Ducks in the '07 WCF's. Since then, he's been rock-solid and making practically nothing. The Red Wings need to hang on to any bargains they have on their roster given their tight cap-space. Lilja absolutely is one of them.
