2/28: GR @ Lake Erie

I gotta say, I'm not really happy with the decisions/scratches being made by the head coach.

It's nice that McCarty is down here but guess who's sitting as a result? It was Pare yesterday, that's not right. And now it's Jan Mursak, one of our best offensive prospects. I'd rather him play than D-Mac.

Anyway disappointing start. We really need to get some consistency back.

2-0 cool, Lake Erie are going to beat us again.

Really annoyed Brett Peterson is playing over Pyett who was just starting to find some form. The same Peterson that mailed it in only a few months back. And Mike Walsh over Mursak, not happy.

I'm thinking about you, Aussie Wing, as I'm multi-tasking tonight: doing my in-law's income taxes... listening to the game...and enjoying a glass of Australian port...

:D We do have some of the best wines, or so I've heard. :P

Finally a goal! GR Emmerton, (7) (McCarty, McGrath), 11:10

One more to tie the game.

I personally think having Mac and Downs in, will help Tardif and Abs to become more confident with the way they play..

If it were up to me, all four would be in Detroit :D

And you may be angry Patterson is in their Aussie, but hes a +2 tonight so good things are happening with him on the ice ;)

Just curious, who would you send down to GR from Detroit? Maybe we could give Kenny a call?

Just for discussion purposes, I'd love to see Leino, Helm, Filppula and Kopecky back. I'm not being too greedy...I'm not asking for Datsyuk or Zetterberg! I'd also welcome back Hudler, Lebda and Meech any day of the week. Maybe Hossa will need some conditioning.

Id probably send Leino, Filpulla, Kopecky and Maltby down :) Id keep Helm cos hes young and gritty, whilst those four just annoy me. Leino could use some more work on his skating and regular 1st line ice time.

Keep Maltby (unless he's assigned to GR an assistant coach). Many have commented on Leino's skating. What do you bet that he attends some Powerskating "classes" this summer? Didn't Jiri Hudler do that last summer or the one before to improve his skating?
