Questron 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 (edited) Did I miss something or is the team just giving him a breather? Edited March 15, 2009 by Questron
GROwl 5 Report post Posted March 15, 2009 Frankie Sr has been out injured for a good month or so (I don't remember if it was a knee or ankle, but it was a pretty weird hit near the boards next to the Griffins penalty box at the Van Andel Arena). Frankie returned to the lineup last night. I thought he had a very good game especially considering how long he had been out. Jimmy was back in net on Friday after his concussion from the game in Syracuse a week and a half or so ago. Tom Galvin, who got a knee sprain from the same play, also returned to the lineup last night. Jamie Tardif is still out with his injury. He wasn't put on the clear day roster, so the speculation is that he could be out for a while yet. Downey was a healthy scratch last night (was dressed for the warm-ups). My guess is that he'll play this afternoon and give D-Mac a rest. Time for all the boys to get healthy, so that they can return to game shape before the play-offs. GROwl 5 Report post Posted March 16, 2009 My boy Tarddy is injured Yep. He seemed in good spirits though after the game tonight at the season ticket holders gathering. Leino was sporting a nice shiner. Kolosov was tired. Ritola and Oulahen were gabby/very friendly tonight. Larsson super quiet. Emmerton a little red after a female had him sign the front of her shirt while she was wearing it. PJ chose her shoulder.
Questron 0 Report post Posted March 16, 2009 (edited) Thanks for the injury update. I was trying to find the answer in one of the past threads, but didn't see anything. Anyway, glad he's back. Pare and him really had it going earlier in the season and I hope those two, along with McGrath, can get some of the magic back moving toward the playoffs. Does anyone have the line-ups from last night or better yet, know where I can go to get them? Edited March 16, 2009 by Questron
GROwl 5 Report post Posted March 16, 2009 Does anyone have the line-ups from last night or better yet, know where I can go to get them? I don't know where they are posted...but I think I can remember/tell you what they were: Leino-Abdelkader-DMAC Lemieux-McGrath-Pare Haydar-Helm-Ritola Oulahen-Gagnon-Downey Pyett-Kindl Galvin-Peterson Kolosov-Stafford Larsson was in net I could have the defensive pairings mixed up. Questron 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2009 Griffinscentral.com usually has write ups about the game, and he specifies the lines as well. Thanks a bunch Coyote. I didn't even know the site existed! I always checked the GriffinsHockey.com site for stats and the game readups, but now I have two places to go to get team and game info on the Griffins.
