Found this today. If it's been posted already, I apologise...

RW Johan Franzen: 6-3-2 (.636) without him; 43-13-7 (.738) when he's in the lineup.

D Brad Stuart: 9-4-2 (.667) when he's out; 40-12-7 (.737) when he's in.

RW Tomas Holmstrom: 20-8-2 (.700) when he's hurt; 29-8-7 (.739) when he plays.

D Andreas Lilja: 10-2-1 (.808) when he' sidelined; 39-14-8 (.705) otherwise.

I'd rather see Lils and Ericsson paired than Stuart and Kronwall. The latter seem to be too busy looking for hits instead of being in position, IMO.

Either way, I just want a healthy line up come playoffs.

Stuart has been especially guilty of this after returning from his injury. He was really solid in the weeks leading up to his injury, so it's rough seeing him regress like this. Hopefully he'll round back into form before the playoffs start.

To be dead honest here, if/when lils comes back Move him and erricsson up to the 2nd pairing, move kronwall and stuart down to the 3rd as they've both been consistently sloppy and send a message the them by possibly scratching whoever is playing worse and bringing in chelios. If we could get lilja back SOON it'd be best to do this BEFORE the playoffs but from what I'm hearing, Lilja is still having headaches and he said he's getting out of shape which will only stall his return even longer.

With all of the skill we have on this team I don't think the absence of any one of those players makes a significant difference, and other than Homer, there isn't much of a sampling size from when they're injured. I wouldn't put much stock into those numbers. The only players who I think might cause a drop-off if they were hurt are Lidstrom and maybe Datsyuk, and even then we have so much skill that I don't think it would be significant.

You've got to consider when the players are out. It's the Red Wings when one is down theres a quick follow of 2-3 others going down right behind.

I.E Lilly Pads and Homer or 2007-08 season the whole month of feb with our D.
