Rice 42 Report post Posted April 13, 2009 What is TSN2? is that an internet broadcasting or what? Never even heard of TSN.... TSN is essentially Canada's ESPN... so ESPN with a lot more hockey.
AtomicPunk 296 Report post Posted April 13, 2009 Is there any way we can trade for T.J. Oshie real quick? Wings in 7. I think it is going to be tougher to get going than we think it will be.
Guest MrSandMan Report post Posted April 13, 2009 TSN is essentially Canada's ESPN... so ESPN with a lot more hockey. I just checked Charter and Dishnetwork and looks like TSN isn't available.. atleast I can't find it. Way to ruin hockey, Bettman!!! Put the games on a station that .000000000000000001% of the population can get.

Put the games on a station that .000000000000000001% of the population can get. It's in Canada only. All the Wings games are gonna be on FSN and Versus. If you live in Michigan and get CBC then you're going to see most of the playoff games for all the teams.

Mike 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2009 (edited) The Joe is going to be full of Jackets fans because of all the available tickets. I bet there won't be as many Wings fans down in Columbus. Edited April 13, 2009 by Mike

ComradeWasabi 109 Report post Posted April 13, 2009 I love TSN. Apart from the curling. Guess I'll have to hijack the HD tv downstairs for this first series, I don't get TSN2 in my room. f***ers.
interminded 1 Report post Posted April 13, 2009 Wings in 4. I'm not even remotely kidding. Mason is a talented goalie an has 10 shutouts, but if look at his stats: The last two months he has been literally the most inconsistent goalie in the league. My guess: The playoffs will make this season too long and too difficult for this young man. And the rest of the Blue Jackets are just not that quick, raw and experienced to knock over the reigning Stanley Cup Champs.
evilmrt 636 Report post Posted April 13, 2009 Wow, very big surprise by Versus not carrying games 2,3,4,6 for the Wings' series! Good thing I got Center Ice I'm not sure why they passed on the Boston/Montreal series as well. Thats a historic rivalry! Plus Boston and Detroit are two of the best teams this year....and two of the most popular. Oh well....to anyone who can't watch, just get Center Ice if possible. How about the NHL Network? They must be rebroadcasting some of the CBC games, at least.

Holmstrom96 347 Report post Posted April 13, 2009 My main concern is goaltending. Mason is beyond human when it comes to goaltending. We need to get to this kid, demoralize him in game one or two with a blow-out victory, and spank 'em. Our defense needs to help out Osgood and set a good tone of confidence for him. Good news is that our team is realativly healthy. I would imagine Hossa will be back, I think sitting him was all precautionary. I'm upset about TV coverage, Versus sucks and I don't get it in HD because I have WOW Cable.

GMRwings1983 8,794 Report post Posted April 13, 2009 (edited) People living outside Detroit pretty much got f***ed by this TV deal. Last year Versus carried every Wings game up until the Finals. This year, they'll only show 3 Wings games in the first round, and only 1 of the first 4 games. This is B.S. That little punk Cindy Crosby and his Pens get every one of their games televised. Who won the Cup last year? Was it the s***sburgh Penguins? I'm beginning to regret that we didn't play Anaheim. At least we'd get more exposure for people living around the country, since they'd certainly televise the late games. wingsgirl001 983 Report post Posted April 13, 2009 (edited) Noooo, I'm gonna miss the first game, I'll be at a concert! But regarding FSN, I'm pretty sure FSN covers all the first and second rounds regardless of whether or not the games are on a national network. After the second round then FSN drops and NBC and VS pick everything up for the third round and the Finals. I'm pretty sure that's what happened last year. Mike 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2009 that would be even more embarassing then actually losing to these clowns. I've been reading on Jackets fan boards and every other post seems to be about how they just bought tickets for one of the first two games of the series for like $40. I hope I am wrong, but seeing as how last year the first round didn't come close to a sell out.
