I have Versus and FSN-D through the DirecTV Sport Pack.

If NHL Center Ice is indeed done for the season, I can actually watch FSN-D. Otherwise, since it is not my local station, it was always blackout when the game was on Center Ice, which is like every game.

I don't think FOX (or the NHL) would ever let that happen for free during the playoffs. The only time I've seen FSD have Wings games for out-of-market people without Center Ice is either during a free preview, or, during the preseason.

What's weird to me is, I haven't heard a peep about what the NHL Network might be covering.

I hope it's all the Wings games that aren't on Versus.

Realistically, it'll probably be any of the Canadian teams.

Oh dang it! I hate Center Ice. I can only subscribe to so much TV! I am already paying $300 a year for Sunday Ticket, I can't justify another $150 for Center Ice or whatever it costs.

Crossing my fingers then that maybe the NHL Network picks up the Wings games for those without Center Ice.

As I said earlier, I wish this happened last year as opposed to this year, because last year the Wings playoffs games were streamed, and in pretty good quality no less. I used them whenever the reception went off during storms.

This year atdhe isn't the same as it was before, thus I'll have to exclusively rely on streaming, with the s***ty possibility that the stream will freeze up in OT or something like that.

I blame this all on Bettman and him putting his baby Penguins all over TV so he can wack it to his boy Crosby.

ya looks like TSN is smartening up they changed their schedule! Games 1 and 5 only on TSN2 the rest reg TSN feed is picked up!!!!

If I had to guess, I would say the NHL Network will be broadcasting the CBC games, which is basically the Habs/Bruins series. They have been airing HNIC all year. As far as the Hawks/Flames series, I'm really surprised that CBC isn't carrying it. I heard funding was cut for sports, but thats rediculous.

Also, Center Ice is supposed to run for the first two rounds of the playoffs...this is in the terms when you purchase the package. I have a feeling for us out-of-market Wings fans that they will go with FSN feeds over TSN...I haven't seen one TSN feed in HD on Center Ice, and the SD feeds look like crap.

Thankfully I have nhl center ice and as long as I get to watch the games, I'm not overly concerned whether it's an HD feed or not.

I see every game on TSN2 from that link. There's no chance game two will be on normal TSN when the Flames play that night. God damn it.

I have to admit the 1st round matchups in the East are a bit more compelling.
Montreal vs. Boston and Pittsburgh vs. Phily especially.
High skill teams that absolutely hate each other.

The closest the West has is Anaheim vs. San Jose - two teams that are not too fond of each other at all.
But Detroit does pack in the rating, no matter who they play, and Columbus will gett "Cinderella Story" headlines with their first win... as if.

That's what I've been saying all day. The Pens don't even have fans outside of their city, and yet all their games are televised. I guess the team that finished 2nd last season gets more respect than the team that won the Cup.

The league needs to get over this Crosby obsession. Televising all of their games, and only a few from other more important series' is too much of a discrepancy.

Flames at Blackhawks doesn't start until 7 p.m. and the Wings game is the early start. If they switch it to the Deuce so they can whack it to Phaneuf, they switch it to the Deuce. If you have Shaw you shouldn't have a problem.

Back last year when they had that weird "TSN Alternate" it was so hit and miss what or when they would show games it was a complete mess. I'll take the Deuce over what they had last year.

TSN2 is available on Bell Expressvu in HD for canucks. If you don't get it, it's your fault for being with Rogers because they suck!

games that are being shown on tsn2 will not be broadcasted on center ice.. i just recieved the email from center ice, so looks like people with rogers will be screwed.. i guess i will sign up for a day on that hockey streams site. has anyone used it before, and how is the quality of their hd feed?

The fact that not all the games will be easily watchable for everyone with basic cable = epic fail on the leagues part. This is the playoffs!!!! How do they ever expect to be taken seriously when they can't find a way to televise all of their playoff games?
