and on a sidenote, since the nhl moved to nbc, we down here the the new orleans area have to miss game 3 or 4 of the stanley cup finals, since they do an all day childrens miracle network on local nbc the first weekend of june. I missed game 4 when we won 2-1. Hockey not being big has alot to do with that, but youd think thier was a way to watch it, somewhere...
go wings!

This schedule will include the national telecasters for US and CANADA. The schedule will also show the LOCAL telecasters.
Please check back tomorrow.
Thanks,
NHL TV
So maybe they are still working everything ok? Hopefully this is the case...

Do I wish the Wings games were more on Versus and get a sniff/two on NBC to start? Of course. But, first/foremost there is more focus on the Eastern Conference/Coast and of course Pittsburgh/Crosby. Does it bother me that much? Not really, it is what it is, but I'm surprised a defending Cup champion doesn't get a little more pub and love, whether it is Detroit or not.
I'll guarantee you though if the Red Wings were pimped as much as Pittsburgh/Crosby, there'd be no complaining as it is convenient that your favorite team is on national TV the most. In the grand scheme of things, the Wings have gotten their fair share of national broadcasts.
Regardless of all this, fans in here are smart, savvy, and dedicated enough to find means necessary to watch their games, regardless of if it is on national TV or not.

True, but 18 straight years in the playoffs, as well as the best away attendance, coupled with having the best selling American jersey, should mean we get a few games shown, right? Hell, ESPN can't go 4 days without telling me when their 2 week countdown to the next Yanks/BoSox match up.

Of course. But sometimes that's just the breaks. For me I just want the game to be available. Versus, ESPN, TSN, Fox Sports, the Food Network, TNT, CNN, I don't care what it's on, just be available somewhere to watch.

Just do what I'll be doing the whole series. Blaming Bettman and his adopted son Crosby for having to miss most of the series. Also, it wouldn't hurt if atdhe was still around and working well. That one is also on Bettman.
Exactly. We've always gotten good coverage in the past. It's like the league all of a sudden decided to cut out the Wings from their schedule. I know Columbus isn't a big market, but neither is Nashville, and yet all our games against them were televised last year.
Also, the other original 6 teams likewise got hosed by this deal. Hardly any of their games are televised on Versus, either.

We have for like the past 10 seasons or so. That seems like consistency to me, which would warrant the expectation that it will happen again, especially coming off a Cup run and a good regular season finish in the standings.
One thing can be expected, though. Namely that the Penguins will get favorable treatment every season on the TV.

If you have Center Ice, you will get the feed via either TSN or FSD for sure, no matter who the provider.
If you live in or around Detroit, FSD will black out VS coverage.
If you live outside Detroit, VS will blackout your FSD/Center Ice coverage.

Yeah, it is just down right stupid. There won't be a free internet feed of the games will there?
I know the Red Wings won't get treatment but it would be nice to show at least 1 or 2 games on VS.

So living in Minnesota, I should get VS coverage?

Luckily, I get TSN2 (In one fricken' room!), but a lot of people do not get TSN2... I guess that's one of the only downfalls of playing Columbus is round 1. The possibility of getting Calgary or Vancouver in round 2 will be better.
