Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 So the Lottery is about to happen. The Isle has the best shot at first overall. They are followed by Tampa, Colorado, Atlanta, and LA. Discuss.
Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 Oh BTW for you conspiricy people, who think the league picks the best markets to get the pick. (aka the rigged Crosby crowd) I think NYI, LA, COL, ATL, TB. Would have the best shot in that order based on desire to spur on the market.
Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 Milbury had an intresting idea, if Tampa does not get the first overall pick they could trade Vinnie for it and go with Stamkos and Tavares down the middle next season. More to talk about as we get down the line...
Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 I think most of these teams would be better off taking Hedmen then Tavares, except LA and maybe Atlanta. They prob have the top two d set..

Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 So I have to ask, if you were NYI. Would you consider trading that pick for Lecaliver? That would be something having the top two picks in the draft.... Tampa would be better served getting Hedmen IMO.
Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 NYI TB COL ATL LA PHX TOR DAL OTT ED NASH MINN BUFF FLORIDA Then Playoff teams. That is the draft to the point.

Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 (edited) WHAT EXCITEMENT was there a single team that changed position? Not in the top five. In fact I think there might be zero... Let me look BTW CBC has a show on and its great, basically a really long Hotstove! Edited April 15, 2009 by Majsheppard
evilmrt 636 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 I think the Islanders are going to consider trading away the pick...they know they can get alot more than usual because of the shrinking cap in 2010-2011. Alot of teams will want a cheap young rookie that can make waves like Tavares. They could really deepen the team, and I think adding one player is NOT what NYI needs right now. Some of the top-heavy, underproducing teams (i.e. Colorado) should be interested in going this route.
Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 Puck Daddy thinks Detroit beats one Mason, the other Mason beats Van. Also Kulkas is saying Wings still the fav. Quotes babs saying everyone is talking Mason, and i got a goalie that won three cups...

Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 The boys at HNIC are picking us. PJ and Hudry are on them, big surprise Milbury is himming and hawwing. Mike says Wings in five, PJ in five, Kelly in six.
mjlegend 155 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 Meh. The same people who were pumping Steve Mason's tires all year were pumping Carey Price's last year. Next year it'll be Bernier or something. I love that Burke is running his mouth off about every player on the Laughs being tradable right now. No one wanted Kubina and Mayers at the deadline this year, do you think they're going to throw away a chance at Hedman or Tavares for it this year?
MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 WHAT EXCITEMENT was there a single team that changed position? No, the Islanders won it so there was no change in the bottom-14.
