Red Kingdom 4 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 I understand that VS likes to save money by using other announcers so they don't have to spend the money for travel and all the other crap, but good gosh. this homer crew being broadcast nationally is ridiculous. That's because VS was using the Sharks feed for the game. That's why the graphics at the top of the screen had CSN on it. Comcast Sports Net.

wmubronco420 25 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 (edited) If the Sharks get eliminated by the Ducks, and the Wings get by the Jax, guess who gets the Ducks next? I'd be careful. come on now, i dont think the wings would have any problem against the ducks. the sharks looked flat although they got a bit unlucky with some posts Edited April 17, 2009 by wmubronco420
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted April 17, 2009 (edited) come on now, i dont think the wings would have any problem against the ducks. sharks looked falt although they got a bit unlucky with some posts I believe you, but it would be quite worrisome to me, especially if the Ducks win again on Saturday. This sort of defense has a way of stifling great offenses like the Wings' and Sharks'. Edited April 17, 2009 by Shoreline
EuroTwin 240 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 Was the Hawks game on Versus? I only saw it on CSN HD via Center Ice. For me, VS went from the Wings game to joining the Hawks/Flames in progress to some kind of boxing, which is when I remembered where I was and switched to 40 to watch local. One of the announcers did say something welcoming those joining from VS or something. The VS schedule was weird looking though. It had the Wings game, and then just an hour dedicated to the Hawks and then the whole of the Sharks game. Someone was drunk when they put that together. After Vs was done showing the Wings game, they went into the Hawks-Flames in the 2nd period and showed the rest of it, then went into the Sharks-Ducks. Duck Guy 86 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 I was soooo happy ducks SO sharks on their home ice. Even though it is only game 1 I love it especially all the shark fans walkin around like their s*** dont stink... love it
BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 I really enjoyed the Sharks-Ducks game. Lots of hitting, very physical play from both teams. The Sharks played a good game. They took a ton of shots and hit some iron. But the Ducks were able to deal with their forecheck probably as well as a team possibly can. The Ducks' defense corps is really big and good. Pronger draped a cloak of invisibility over Joe Thornton tonight. Hiller was really impressive, too. This should be a long series.
MotorCityMadness 388 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 I actually thought it was the Crawford way forever, and the "Na-baw-kawv" people drove me crazy. In fact, now that I think about it, it maybe have been one of those infamous pronounciation changes...I'm pretty sure it was "Nab-uh-kawv" back when he was with the Cleveland Lumberjacks (cheap plug for local defunct minor league team there). The old Cleveland Lumberjacks...I do remember them quite a bit. Are these the same ones that were in the old IHL with the Detroit Vipers, Orlando Solar Bears, Fort Wayne Komets, Indianapolis Ice, Chicago Wolves, Atlanta Knights, Kansas City Blades, etc? or is that a little too early? whitneydatsyukrox 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 Just got back from watching the game at a friend's... absolutely epic ending. I'm pretty sure I woke up the floor when Niedermayer scored! LOVING the Ducks right now. I never thought I'd see the day. Just perfect, perfect, perfect choke so far by the Sharks And it always stings the most when it's Game 1. Hahahaha gotta check out the Sharks' board now, apparently!

TheSupafly 50 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 Half of my board thinks the sky is falling...the other half thinks it's gonna be just like every other year...and then there's me. I shall cling on to hope, but if they screw it up on Sunday I'll join one of the groups.
Err0rB0Y4o4 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 (edited) The Wings walked over the Jax. It was nice watching The F--ks take a win at the Shark Tank.. But the Anahiem is the last team I want to draw. Hopefully they rip eachother apart over 7. Edited April 17, 2009 by Err0rB0Y4o4
Mike 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 I expect the Sharks to come out for Game #2 full of piss and vinegar. This will be a long, hard series.

It's only one game anyway. The Ducks gave the Sharks 6 power plays last night. If we end up playing the Ducks and the refs call that series consistently, I'm not worried. The Ducks won last night, but it wasn't because they dominated play. San Jose looked like crap and Anaheims goalie made some key saves. The Sharks PP looked awful as well. donfishmaster 62 Report post Posted April 17, 2009 If the Sharks get eliminated by the Ducks, and the Wings get by the Jax, guess who gets the Ducks next? I'd be careful. I respectfully disagree... I would LOVE to see the Wings take down PrickPronger, Niederoscarmeyer, and the rest of the Lousy *ucks. Don't you want to see your team get to beat-down its most hated opponent? Ok, that's not going to happen since the Colorado 'Avacramps are busy flogging their weiners, but you get the idea.

Guest Shoreline Report post Posted April 17, 2009 Where's Jiguerre his no more the starter or his injured? He didn't impress enough. From the few Ducks games I saw he was way too much of a softie and was causing the Ducks to lose typical low scoring games. Hiller was far more impressive in these games, and was part of their stretch run back into the playoff picture. I bet you anything though that if Hiller falters in the slightest, Jiggy will be in. I would prefer not to see the Ducks. Not because of the mini-rivalry, but because the Ducks are dirty and I'd prefer to see this team go into the WCF's (and further, SCF's) without unnecessary injuries due to morons who can't lose in a sportsmanlike fashion. RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted April 18, 2009 If the Sharks get eliminated by the Ducks, and the Wings get by the Jax, guess who gets the Ducks next? I'd be careful. I'd love for the Wings to take out the Sharks themselves - but I won't complain if the Ducks beat us to it. Wings played well vs the Ducks this season - I'd take my chances - would be a fun series though.
