5 on 3 in overtime... *pining for "old" NHL when you couldn't get a penalty in OT without murdering someone.*

Nice plays by Richards and Timonen.. 42 more seconds. Would be an epic kill if they can do it.

Watching a team win an OT game with a 5 on 3 sucks but you can't blame the refs for the 5 on 3 call. Giroux shattered Kunitz's (I think it was him) stick into pieces. You can't not call it. Black and white.

That penalty on Knuble was s***, and the Giroux call is not one you make if it hands out a 5 on 3 in OT. That was just a whole load of silliness, heads would be rolling if that was the Wings getting jobbed.

No they wouldn't. The f***tard that heads up the Officiating in the NHL and his idiot boss would be saying the calls were absolutely correctly called regardless of the situation.

Of course those two idiots are why the league is failing, but what the hell....

The Knuble penalty was a make-up call and it was there.

Like the VS announcer said, if the stick doesn't break I don't think they'd call it. That's my problem with it.

CBC went straight to the Nucks game. Can anyone tell me why Timonen got a misconduct at the end of the game?

Probably said some stuff to the ref(s).

Around LGW I meant. :P

That Pen went down like he was shot out of a cannon. I've seen that happen to Homer at least twenty billion times and it's not a call. It was cross-checking but it was basically the legal kind, battling in front of the net.

Obviously. But you can't just can't guys out of the play by slashing their sticks. It's a black and white call. It's probably the easiest penalty to interpret in the game.
