Is it just me or is that line on the ice more times then every other Anaheim line combined?

Not far from it. Did you see Getzlaf's ice time from last game?

Yeah it was psychotic, which is why we'll once again rip the game out their hands in the 3rd if it comes down to it.

It wasn't even a Sammy bashing post. (The post's content was "SAMMY! SKY IS FALLING!")

I was mocking Sammy bashers (AND people who consider 2 goals allowed to be this game's death knell). I have no idea where you even interpreted me as bashing Sammy.

Perhaps you weren't bashing Sammy, but from my perspective (and given the trend on LGW) can you not see why I assumed it was a bashing post?

SAMMY! SKY IS FALLING!....generally not the most endearing comment.

A couple of things have become apparent to me in this series so far....1. Can we please get Helm more ice time...this kid is something!! 2. I cringe everytime the Getzlaf line is on the ice. Hopefully we can find a way to contain them because there is no way we can stop them completely. I thought we started to play a little better near the end of the period...we just have to make sure we get pucks out hard in our end!!

Alot of ups and downs in this period... very sloppy sometimes in the defensive zone, bad coverage as well, anaheims first line is just so heavy.. osgood looked shaky at times, a few nice glove grabs but he could be better... franzen is very good tonight, saved a goal as well

Better 2nd period OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I also ignore the fact that he called the Ducks top line a bunch of no names? Like this defense can't handle their worst players, which turns out to be their best line? Maybe you need to read his posts.

I was referring to the shift by Ebbett's line, but whatever supports your argument.

Obviously the obstruction calls aren't being made. Pronger had a classic case on Franzen right near the end of the period and then followed it up with a cross check. I thought you weren't allowed to interfere with the forechecker? Did the rules somehow change? Oh, and nice phantom call on Stuart that led to a goal and no-call on Perry flopping onto Osgood. Fantastic.

Wings looked VERY sloppy in the first 20 minutes and were getting outworked. Bad linechange and Chelios was brutal. One horrible giveaway that nearly ended up a goal and a bad linechange that did.

Transition game isn't nearly as good as it should be -- some if it a credit to Anaheim's team defense, for sure -- but we desperately need Rafalski back there. It's not just the special teams, it's the breakout passes, etc..

Wings need to stop reaching with their sticks and stay strong positionally -- they're getting way off their assignments on occasion.

Here's to a better final 40 minutes.

I think you were being just as hair trigger as those who were claiming this team is crumbling and having the sky-is-falling attitude based on almost one single minute of hockey played. How would one suggest the sky is falling from the Wings scoring a goal? Seriously.
