Wings need some Ryan Pulock in the 1st round, a goal scorer in the 2nd round and rounds 3-7 all guys 6'4 or bigger. Please sign Dekeyser to play with Smith. <--Dekeyser signed, Paired next year. Mark your calendars.
Tootoo needs a partner in crime that plays like him on the other side of Helm. Oh hey, we have Mitchell Callahan. Problem solved.

It can't hurt this guy. He's still holding "Celebrity Car Washes" to raise money.

The moment of truth is here for the Glendale City Council to decide whether the city should enter into a 20-year, $320 million arena management deal with Phoenix Coyotes suitor Greg Jamison.
The council will meet at 7 p.m. in the council chambers, 5850 W. Glendale Ave. The meeting will be live-tweeted on azcentral.com.

adjective
1. When your moves are so amazing and beyond reason, the only way to describe them is "datsyukian."

Without a team, they have an empty arena.

Pierre LeBrun via twitter: The next step for Greg Jamison to buy the Coyotes is to deliver the $170 million to the NHL by January 31st. Jamison, and people close to him say that he has the financing in place. There are others who aren’t convinced.
I haven't been keeping up with the latest news concerning this mess in Glendale, but if the league, and Jamison complete the sale - wow - just wow.The good denizens of Glendale council say "yay".

Ahhhh, hockey in the desert; from TSN:
The sale of the Phoenix Coyotes is a step closer to being finalized.
The city of Glendale signed its arena management deal and lease with prospective team buyer Greg Jamison this week. The deal is for $300 million over 20 years, which pays Jamison to run the city-owned Jobing.com Arena.
Jamison is still referred to as "prospective"; and well he should be.

He has until early January to buy the team, I hope it doesn't happen and they relocate. Shane Doan wasted everyones time waiting for him and still signed there despite the uncertainties. I would love to see him end up in Quebec or something just so I can laugh at his misfortune.

Wow this must be an absolute rollercoaster for the people in Glendale: relocate - staying - relocate - staying - buying? - not buying...as a fan that must be horrible
It will come down to one question: does he have the money or not?

According to him he has the financing. No idea who his "backers" are. It's all sounding more and more shady, I think Phoenix will be relocated in the next few years.

Uncle Gary is "pot committed" to Jamison, especially because:
1) now that the good people of Glendale, thanks to their city council, on the hook with him and
2) there is no "Plan B".

I wonder how he secures financing, Must be hard to walk into a room of investors and say.... "The team is only losing 30 million a year but I'm confident I can turn it around. Please give me millions...."
I guess the new CBA should help but that isn't even done so he can't go but look we get a 50/50 split and this and that.
As for laughing at Doan for moving to Quebec.... i'm sure he would be grateful to have actual fans then.

I don't think Doan would remain their captain or be on part with the move. Just a guess from me but I highly think he has some sort of movement clause in his contract allowing Doan to walk, if the franchise moves.
It is always funny, how these damn politicians are deciding to throw money away, including the trend of financing mega buildings with taxpayers money so billionaires can make even more and pay less.
Has Jamison ever mentioned his investors?

how long until we're back here again....?
Lol I can quote myself on this one.
http://sports.yahoo....44933--nhl.html
Barring a last-minute change, former San Jose Sharks CEO Greg Jamison won't have the money or investors in place to meet the midnight Thursday deadline for the lease agreement, the official said on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to discuss the situation.
